It's too late people, it's going to be a slightly more polished version of what it currently is. Give it 12 months and you might pick it up again after finishing it twice.

The incredibly disappointing thing is they clearly haven't dedicated many resources to making this mode. It's evident alone from it being the most boring bland environments of any Division 1 or 2 content I can think of and almost zero thought or effort has been put into making the rewards/loot exciting or engaging in the slightest. Currently it looks like an absolute bare minimum effort.

I also fear this mode has been setup to fail from the start so the decision makers could say "look, nobody plays this mode, we were right not to give you the random Underground like content players have been asking for since release". There's so many blatantly obvious areas they could greatly improve Summit and make it much more fun and engaging, would love to know what feedback the ETF gave on this mode.

Thanks a Lot....ive been grinding my teeth since summit pts was available and i saw the desplacement of doors into their frames....thats when i thought...CMON Dude at Massive....this is a 15min workload to make them fit....and you just let it stay and now everyone has seen it..
Its just work dedication below zero.

To make Summit a worthwhile player experience you dont really have to work in game design or be creative at all.
Just watch The Raid one time...and you`ll get plenty ideas.
Even if they seem dumb...like...you entered the buildung to do ****...and on the second floor the Cleaners started a Fire which spreads....now you got only 1 option...to the roof and to THEEE CHOPPAAAA.
Each floor can be approached differently...for max Loot..you gotta work with mechanics to slow doen the spread of fire....enable the sprinkler system....detonate important parts of the floor the stop the fire to spread...if you are too slow...your vision will be blurred by smoke or oxygen will deplete slowly until you smash in windows...which will stop the smoke...but increase the spread of fire across the floors.

Etc Etc...i could fill playbooks with ideas....

I genuinely doubt they will postpone the release since it never came to their minds that 100 floors or ' randomly spawning enemies with less than 10 mechanics tops'' wont stand and noted as Content.

When they wanna go lowkey and effortless...why didnt they just copy&paste survival and underground into D2.... i would appreaciate it way more

Your reply alone gave me the idea to release summit as a --lets say..base model...where players can decide what happens on the 100 floors....like player modification of a certain map.
By that and the creativity this community shows there would be Content for months....

I'm not for delaying it. I think this is the kind of game mode that should be build over time with player feedback by adding more feature (more objectif, new directive, more unique loot ect...).

I juste really fear that they will stop supporting it when they will start to focus on TU12 ...

Otherwise, the developpement of the Summit have clearly shown their lack of ressources to developpe a consistent new game mode (lack of different environnement, no specific game mode economic, lack of unique reward when in same time they introduce mod apparence system)

I honestly doubt that there is more to come for Div2..... with Season4 ...beware SPOILERS
    Spoiler:  Show
Faye killing President Ellis and blame us/ whole SHD for it, what most likely results in the ROGUE staus of whole SHD by followup President
and the narrative ending of Division2.
There will be Summit as last big Content update ....the horrors of Kenly'' Burn that **** finaly to the ground''College somewhere near the winter Holidays......or maybe to Halloween and thats it.
I sincerely doubt that there will be big changes to summit....devs see this as replayable immersive Content....

I'm not really for delaying at as I am them releasing it and promising to fix it's problems over time. I'm bored with the game modes and need something like this to keep my grind just a little different. Obviously it needs a lot of changes the two that come to mind before launch should be different targetted loot and optional directives.

This I have to agree with.. I mean come on look at the sets and that god damn backpack that just came into the game... "This is like the devs saying" We are done now so here is loads of OP stuff to keep you happy".. sort of thing.

4 piece Hunter set and swapped them all to blues.
    1 part Badger with intimidate.
    Momento backpack.
Running the Rock and roll shotgun

1.8m armor with the buffs from the backpack and hunters set I can pass for 6 red build :S..

I mean come on massive 35% Amp damage from chest and a further 40% from hunters set lol.. my shotgun 4shots heavy heroic mobs wtf xD.

The current offering is just not good enough. If this was my project, I would delay it or just outright cancel it. You can see the train wreck coming from a mile away here.
    Congratulation. Canceling it...
What about the people that enjoy it? Why remove it and waste all the work? This is one of the worst suggestions I've seen in my life

Projects like this get cancelled because continuing it will be the worse than letting it die. Once the update is released, the dev team will have an entirely new product to support, balance and fix. The PTS is only the beginning. This will take resources away from all of the other balancing and fixing that needs to go on with the game. The idea of the Summit is to take an already abused player base that is on edge and release a half-baked pile of recycled content under the idea of replay-ability that no one really believes. Probably not the best way to breathe life into the game. There are only so many heavily discounted sales that are going to expand the player base.

The train wreck is coming September 22 and it doesn't take any great vision to see it.
