Personally, I prefer my armour to be clean and immaculate. Quite often the dirt and wear & tear that comes with armour and weapon sets by default spoil the look I'm going for with my customisation. Sometimes I choose to do without certain armour pieces because of it. I know some players like because it gives the feeling that you've seen war. I think the realtime damage and blood is enough to provide that feeling since you have to earn those during a battle and not before it.
I feel that the dirt and wear & tear should be optional so my heroes can actually look the way I want them to look without unnecessary compromises. A simple toggle option for both armour and weapons would do.
