260 rolls on yellow and green perk....? | Forums

are they even possible? i hit rep 8, dumped 20 crates i had from season pass and 20k steel and didnt get a single yellow or green perk roll of 260? i keep getting top 4 perks with 260 rolls but none of the rare ones. neither had i rolled a 1 perk high roll of any kind. what is going on? can some oen clerify?

I'm confused about what you are actually trying to ask so hopefully this answers it?

I'm pretty sure the rare perks (bottom 3) are like 140 max rolls and usually take every piece (head/chest/arms/weapons) having that perk in one of the slots to get to 600 to activate. So for example, I've been rep'ing up a Shugoki recently, and to get my build of Recovery/Vengeful Barrier/Last Stand every piece had to have Last Stand at like 80-130 to get that Last Stand perk activated and Recovery/Vengeful is a mix match 200-250 across all of them.

You are limited to 3 perks max, but only two perks max if you want more than one Rare/Legendary activated at the same time. . Like if you wanted a combination of two Rare/Legendary perks at the same time, say Last Stand and Bulk Up together in Shugoki's case, there is no mathematical way to get anything else with that because the Rare Perks only roll a max 140 (I think it's 140) and you'd have to have every piece of gear's two perk slots have both those perks to get both to 600 at the same time.

I'm really tired while I'm typing this so hopefully that makes sense. Just read the link I left and hopefully that makes sense too.

Yea it is possible.
It is the same issue with year 1 weapon skins, you can get them all before you have passed prolly rep 30 cuz the loot system is fubar!

Best tip i have, dont open more then max 3 crates for each time you start the game. (give the crap system a chanse to reset itself)

No it's not. I was tired when I typed my answer out but I'm pretty sure I answered his/her question correctly.

I've got 2 rep 70's and 10 other heroes over rep 15 all with 3 perk builds so I've seen my share of legendary gear loot and putting these rolls together for perk loadouts. The purple thru green (bottom 3) Perks never roll above a max of 140. And 140 is super rare it is usually 130 but I'm pretty sure I've seen it possible to refine it up to a max of 140 on rare occasions. It is like this because you cannot activate more than two perks of E-F (purple thru green) at the same time. If you could roll 260 you'd see 3 perk builds like last stand/bulk up/rising dawn in Shugoki's example I gave which is clearly an impossible build to do mathematically due to the restrictions of the max rolls of these perks I described. (purple thru green never rolling above 140 max)

You can have 2 of E-F activated at the same time (purple thru green) or ONE of purple thru green and two of the perks above that (A-D or grey thru blue), or just three of grey thru blue. Perks A-D roll to a max of 280 I believe, and perks E-F roll to a max of 140.

Also, that restart the game crate stuff is tin foil nonsense. The only bad time to open crates is subjectively during "event loot" times because you will always usually roll an event piece. This can or can not be what you want but you should know if you are looking to roll different skins you haven't looted before, don't open crates during event times because they will eat up your RNG rolls because they have a greater chance to roll.
