    I will add as a F2P user - and I've been playing this game since January 2018 - that I am at LVL 24, on the way to 25, and with cards at card levels that reflect that I do not spend money to level up my cards (for example, I only have 2 LVL 4 Legendaries, I've got a handful of Epics at LVL 5, and most Rares and Commons at LVL 6). So based on what the algorithm has gifted me with - and this is a lot of faith that the algorithms are somehow unbiased under the hood - I'm playing at the 7000-7500 rank. Occasionally I will cross the 7500 threshold, but I am probably where I should be based on the card strengths I have.

    One of my major issues with a part of this game is that we are playing based on rules that we don't get to see (such as matchmaking - how exactly is this computed? I understand there's a proprietary concern with the source code as well as the issue that if this was better known players might manipulate it to their advantage). Is it coincidence that once I start playing a certain card more or leveling it up that more copies and mats related to it show up in packs, rewards, and the shops?

    thats the catchup mechanic.. that was talked about.
    I am a F2P user as well, and the 24/25 NK's are not people who have powered up cards donated a lot and have overall rubbish levels... never seen so many of them.. its people who have generic meta decks and should be playing higher.
    but this is the issue, for ease of mathematics I'll set at round numbers at around what I was gaining/losing, this is complaining its just putting the maths down to explain why this needs to change.


    I face a same level its 50 ELO win or 50 elo loss

    I face someone with higher cards, they should be higher so should be losing 30 -35 when facing them. IF i win 65 -70.... the chance of winning is LOW...

    but here is the problem and why my rank is now a mess

    player with higher cards? instead of being 8.3 where they should have been (maybe higher given they had LEVEL 5 LEGENDARIES) while I was 7.9, they were 7.7

    I lose this game and end up dropping 65 ELO
    next game, ANOTHER player lower, winning because of RNG (yea great fun HHC hitting the correct card every time) and I lose, once again 65 elo...

    those TWO losses alone are - 130 ELO

    so if I now win 2 games AT MY RANK.. i am now down 30 elo.... if the matchmaking keeps matching me with people of a similar rank gap below... then I only win 35 ELO per win say... thats 70 for 2 wins... that means I am SIXTY down which is OVER A WIN OF EQUAL RANK.... thats not a fair system... and the card levels between say 7600-7800 are the same.. I'm basically penalised for RNG, because i could have the same scenario in reverse and be SIXTY up... meaning a swing of 120 difference depending on who is where..

    so one season i get 7.9 match around my level and higher, i got 8.5
    and this season i got 7.9... ended up at my floor of 7.3 after 24h..... because of matchmaking and because of who was where... got back to just over 7500 again and then played chaos mode to bank the bottlecaps I should be earning
    WHY? its not like its obscure times of day... its peak time and getting 90% matches 200 below.... and this happens far too frequently... and because its 24/25 NKs i can say 5 or 6 of these losses have been down to the NK level difference due to remaining HP. and this is just a small example, and when you add this up to 10-15-20 games well.. yea thats frustrating to extreme levels.

    I have suggested, plenty of times, methods of making this fair, and other examples of what other games do (but that gets deleted.. ) if a player gets 8.5 why are they not locked into that tier forever? or locked into 8k+ forever... they EARNED the right to be there, and this stops them dropping to low to mid 7ks and annoying everyone, needing a 60-70% win rate most days when everyone has similar decks and cards is impractical... especially when a fair chunk of matches are against people who have no reason to be that low. as i said. there are other games with other systems, and one in particular would work for this game better.... but last time i mentioned it it got deleted...

    I have played this game for maybe a year and a half, I am free to play because I don't think the approach/effort devs have to this game should be rewarded, I just like South Park and if wasn't for the team I am in I would have dropped out already.

    Exception for the first couple of months I have been, 99% of the times, going against opponents with cards 1 level higher then mine. I don't even use legendaries because the few I have at 3 are not useful in my deck, yet I am constantly against users of legendaries level 4, all my epics are at 4, almost all my opponents have them at 5. Is tiring, not enjoyable. You want feedback Redlynx? I am tired of facing exclusively opponents with 1 card level above mine. Do you think to worn me out and make me buy stuff out of frustration? Never gonna happen. Do some decent fix and earn it. But of course not, you even help deranker implementing advertisements as a future. Never gonna click on any, misclicked on one once, instantly closed all windows on my phone.

    For months Challenges match making accounted arena level for NO reasons (other than unlocked cards), you said, out of fairness for less able players. Why don't you apply the same to arena? Why don't you account cards level to matchmaking? And players' level too, as the hp and damage make the difference plenty of times where my level 23-24 save their bars with 20-30 hp.

    TLTR
    I am always and only matched with higher level cards' opponents, would be nice if you accounted players level and cards level in the matchmaking, not knowing your algorithms, only by experience, this is currently not the case.

    a thing to slightly, very slightly, discourage deranking: arena rewards based on the average between maximum and minimum season score. This would at least force people to keep a more consistent score. OR Why not give arena rewards on the final season score? If deranker fall too far down their league it gets difficult to climb back up when everyone is actually trying to score.

    my card levels at higher ranks don't matter when you are stuck using cards like level 5 gnomes and visitors, at around 8k its about timing and placement, stuck down at 7400s match after match of Liane/rogue/le bard/DKC 6 its impossible to play or enjoy these matches, because these cards just instantly die to le bard... and if its not those its adventure players, either vastly deranked (mass level 4 legends) or incan/dar spam removals, its either lose or draw, because its IMPOSSIBLE to take a bar.

    the ELO system has classes where people can be put dependent on skill why is this not in game?
    why are 8500+ not class "A" locked into a particular MINIMUM number they can't drop below and do this for other tiers? this allows people the feel of progressing and reward for hard work.
    or, using lifetime high to say set the floor 700 below would put them 7800 which would stop most of these derankers in their tracks, especiallyt hose with those level 5 legendaries who reach 9k.. keeps them at 8.3.... where they do no harm to other peoples events ranking etc? I reached 8.5 once, and normaly spend most of the season at 7.7-8.1 which is right where the floor would be on this system.

    or reduce the floor from 700 to 500.... so its actually harder to drop as fast. because right now the floor is just penalising people by dropping them out of the packs they SHOULD be in. (such as my floor being 7383.. when I should be 7500+)

    Scott, for long you have been complaining about swarms and low cost units, finally you realise that a single Le Bard (and many more, ie, arrow) is enough to kill them all. Happy day. And finally you see how faceroll is adventure with all those removals and skill independent cards that just nullify a whole build up in a non skill click. Very happy day.
    I want to be matched to people with same cards level, only asking for something obviously fair, it would fix a problem to many like me, it doesn't have to fix all problems of this game.

    no, they kill MY CARDS, running le bard when i'm facing stuff at 8k is pointless... because everyone is packing SWT enforcers t&p 6... which DONT die to le bard. I built a deck to be balanced around stuff I face at 8k.... if I had the cards I was seeing yesterday I would be 8.5 now tbh....

    and who are you? unwanted comment, trying to improve the game for the better. just because you dont care about your rank, doesn't mean I dont care about earning the maxmimum bottle caps and rewards for my team. and its HARDLY fun winning 3 games to climb 100 elo then losing 2, and right back to square one every day.. epsecially when, once again its idiots with overleveled cards
    and also.. get matched with a NK 19 russian adv lock santa/somm and DAR stuff.... its great fun ONCE AGAIN to lose a game because of cards being DRAGGED around the field (see them behind the NK, then sliding faster then hyperdrave to the middle) such things as MC a marcus in midfield.. and its slid back to their NK and the ability gets used(does nothing) I transmogrify the SOMM... the sound of rat... it slides to middle and uses ability while doing so...

    this is not MY lag why am I penalised for this? and lost my last chaos mode run because astro butters did damage halfway through animation, it would have died to zap on animation so bar wouldn't be taken...

    This weekend event is horrible. Next time when you do a character centered card event at least lower the team pack completion requirement. It's stupid to require 1000 points with such limited card pool choice.
