In console the animations are bad, tht´s true, I recently bought him and did the experiment in a couple of matches, most people could not block most of my lightspams from defensive form, only a few high reps did. They surely look janky and weird in console, homever in a pc with 60 or more fps only looks funny but not that bad. I still can react but man they really look weird , homever I´m very impressed of most high reps highlanders out there, they were not doing this cheese, they continue to play with complex mixes refusing to rely on lights, I saluted most of them.

I agree a lot of highlanders are still mixing it up and being beasts... I seem to run into a few cheese artists and while it's not impossible to block it's just frustrating as hell...

Atleast I know I am not the only one but also that it isn't bothering some people, sooo better suck it up :P

the only real outstanding difference is the second chained light being quite quick. But it can be blocked and on top that easily spaced as it does not have much reach. Overall CCU brought highlander the gift to finally use and mix up most parts of his kit in fights. That is a good thing. However he still has has the very same issues as before. Put him under pressure, hit him out OS and be ready to parry some heavies. Lights can be shut down by just blocking.

Disclaimer: this is from my perspective as a PC player

I do think this issue is just part of the design and can’t really be fixed.

Maybe that is what is throwing me off, I generally with try and deflect a second light and against an orochi for example it's super easy... Highlander itactually seems impossible !!!

HL doesn't need much to be fixed actually. His design is quite good.

Oh I didn’t mean that he needs a fix.

More like that this is just natural.

I found Highlander frustrating and absolutely broken after the patch came out. I wasn't used to dealing with his kit, he could just be killed easily. Now, I don't think there is any problems, lights can be blocked quite consistently (heavies too), and the offensive stance works as it always worked. I only struggle against them with bad heroes like pk, a stronger hero is easily a match for him.

Maybe the second light shouldn't deal 15 damage though.
