Well, It is the same in every freaking event!!!
I am currently grinding for 1 piece of weapon for Gladiator for about 5+ hours. No luck!
I have the champ status on + A default extra loot fest is going on right now. So there is no logic behind the piece of event loot not dropping. I have tried every single game mode.
I am getting the same 2 pieces again and again. This is just ridiculous at this point.
Either sell the event weapons for steel or fix the nonsensical RNG.
This is frustrating.

Thanks you for providing this feedback and sorry to hear you are experiencing these issues regarding RNG loot drops in game. While there is not really a workaround to "fix" this, I will certainly forward your feedback for further review. In the meantime I hope you have better fortune in the near future.
