Hey guys.
I know this is sudden and I honestly don't think that it might not happen, but I would ask it anyway.
I know that we're on season 2 right now for TD2 as of now with new TU coming out. I know that there are bosses that we're competing with, but at the same time, I am curious.
Do you guys think that we may have TD3? if so, what do you think it will be like? if not, is this the end of TD? or better yet, what will become of TD?
would like to hear your guys thought on this subject.
also, can you guys please put down your reason that concludes in detail... I am very interested in this subject and everyone thoughts about it.
P.S. - If there are going to be TD 3, where will it take place? and how are they going to ruin this? will it be better than TD 2? or will it be worse? Will peoples continues to purchase TD or they stop after this TD 2?
No I don't believe there will be a D3, at least not for 4-5+ years.
The poor handling of the current game, from excessive nerfing, exploits, & just the standard bad bugs pretty much indicate that the devs don't have the capability to dish out an entirely new installment of the franchise at good quality. The current game can't even be properly managed. The repair trap is a good example, new equipment for us that they changed entirely right before it's release into the season & then obviously did no actual confirmation testing on how it performs. The execution of handling D2 in the overall spectrum shows what a likely trainwreck D3 would be at launch if released anytime within the next couple years.
Would I like a D3...yes but only after it's been proven the current game can be adjusted & fixed. Not just that but also remain that way long term, without each new patch, update, or even nerf causing all types of new loading, combat, & performance bugs/problems. The franchise has so much promise, but so far it just feels like the devs are running on the "vibe of it's potential", rather than actually putting it's real potential into effect. With massive titles coming out in the first few years of next gen, you know ones that don't have the notoriously bad rep habits of The Division games, the devs would have to be moronic to think enough players would invest the time/patience/ & faith that D3 would be a solid game. From a marketing standpoint, way too big of a gamble to launch the next installment anytime soon given the upcoming factors in gaming. That is unless the devs prove otherwise & starting soon (like within the next week or so) get their act together & get this current game on a proper path. Wishful thinking & speculation of what D3 could be is fun sure, but there's no real point atm since any near future release of said game would have quite the dark ominous cloud looming over it.... & for good reason.

I would like to see TD 3, but with better group that are making it, fix all bugs and glitches, prevent exploits, and also better storyline with better DZ like TD 1.No I don't believe there will be a D3, at least not for 4-5+ years.
I agree completely. Too many nerf going on, too many gears and weapons are being release into the game without testing it first. Exploits got so many peoples banned perm, but that got those that are innocent involved in that incident. The poor handling of the current game, from excessive nerfing, exploits, & just the standard bad bugs pretty much indicate that the devs don't have the capability to dish out an entirely new installment of the franchise at good quality. The current game can't even be properly managed.
What do you think if there was another development team? Massive been doing a very poor job on the game and it is going down the drain fast then it can be saved. How would you feel if another company took over them?
do you think that they are doing this to test out the water? to see where they can go from this and if TD 3 does happen.. do you think they would use what they learn and make it better? or do you think they will continues to go down their path and ruin the game permanently? I do agree that this game have a very good promising if it does a good job and fixing all those glitches, bugs, nerf, and so on.without each new patch, update, or even nerf causing all types of new loading, combat, & performance bugs/problems.
- It would interest me, but then again totally dependent on the new developer & team that gained access to making D3. They could just as easily turn the game into the same, or worse, as easily as they could improve it. So really it all depends on the type of team that would come in/the reputation they have with other games.Originally Posted by Xiondia Go to original post
- No, several factors indicate this hasn't been a test. First off this isn't the first division game & it's the entire game that has problems, not just newer aspects brought in for D2 itself. Also the reliance on a PTS Pc server with a lack of actual dedicated testers is another indication. Entrusting a select few players on one gaming platform to relay cruicial information about fixes & issues prior to new content releasing, is a recipe for disaster. They are heavily relying on a very specific playerbase of nonpaid customers to be their lifeblood of judging new content quality. That by itself isn't testing the waters, it's just poor game management. Another is they repeatedly make the same mistakes, especially when bouncing back & forth between nerfing & buffing content. They literally use one month of complaints about skills or guns & nerf them, then the following month buff them back up due to players whom complain on the other end. They have serious problems with establishing a proper foundation to how items in the game should perform, thus why things often change so sporadically on capability thanks to the random nerfs & buffs.
Testing the waters is like what R* has done with GTA V Online, which started out as an experiment. Since then, it's improved over time. D2 has not improved, the mirage to some is that it has however that's just because of the considerable flow of new content slowly given to us. But that doesn't hide the fact from most people of how much of a mess the game's mechanics are & have been. The way D2 has been handled is a full reflection on where any future installments will go, & it's not attractive at all. This far into a video game's life & it's still a mess, it's a self inflicted injury that pushes alot of players to be wary & not see future games of the franchise being any better.
I don't think there should be a division 3 judging by the state of the last 2 division games, they got TD1 right eventually but it took too long. I think the whole concept of live service games needs to be binned because it gives the devs a lazy attitude because they can fix the game via live service at a later date and can release it with bugs/ glitches and anything else that breaks the game.
Gaming will only get worse with live service games. I shouldn't have to be connected to the internet 24/7 to play a game. I have recently gone for more games with offline single player rather than live service and/or multiplayer games.
I can appreciate that sometimes the devs are not always in control and are more or less told what to do and when to do it by CEOs and other such 'bosses'
Back in the day a game had to work on release or you were entitled to a refund after returning the game. What happened to our rights of a refund if the game isn't fit for purpose? It seems to not exist anymore. Why?
At this point, I dont think I would support a Division 3. Ubisoft needs to quit spamming out trash like a fast food restaurant and call in Gordon Ramsey to overhaul thier menu and start serving quality games. Division 1: 2016, Division 2 started development almost immediately after that dropped!? Seriously!? No wonder Division 1 never reached it's peak of DLCs, Depth and content. Now D2 is going the same thing? THere is all this chatter and speculation about a D3? Can they not?
LOL. Yes it looks good doesn't it, think I'll be trying it out for sure.Originally Posted by III_Hammer_III Go to original post
