...at about ten to twenty feet off the ground; instead of hitting the ground in a non-fatal impact, I pass it continuously falling, the ground becoming my sky until I leave the AOO and I am automatically respawned somewhere else. It doesn't happen all the time, but enough that it can be so annoying that I no longer exit aircraft either until I have landed, or I am high enough for a base jump.
