Meh and He at the same time, you are lucky the members here care enough to try to help or answer questions posed by new members of the game, otherwise, good luck getting answers from a ghost town. Literally!

While I can appreciate how you fell, we all mostly do, we would also would appreciate toning down your attitude toward those that are helping you (or at least trying even if the answers are not to your liking) or you'll find yourself full of questions with ZERO answers from the ones who should be answering the questions

It was broken since release. 2 endings are result of a partial workaround for softlock Ubi knows about and can't/wont fix.
    1) Mission complete "El Pulpo on it's way to Mexico"
    2) Mission complete "INVALID COMPLETE TEXT"

In my experience, the following actions make no difference:
    - Pulpo switching vehicle at any point
    - going ahead or being too close to the target
    - not killing anyone
    - without involving Unidad and rebels
    - player using ground vehicles or helicopters
    - killing all nearby SB units and destroying first 2 SB technicals before anyone leaves the hideout

Perhaps it's important where and when SB heavy helicopter is destroyed. As OP noted, everything can go as planned until the very end and then ... nothing. Sometimes Pulpo would run/drive around the airport like a hostile civilian/rebel. The question is why panic when all enemies are dead. Also, time doesn't matter if he's stuck. Mission can end after 10-30 seconds, or it could be minutes. Close proximity can also help.

Authoritative answer should come from developers and support staff. Otherwise, yeah, not many of us (Ghosts) left here. We can do our best and hope it's enough.

Yes, the game was broken (perhaps not as broken as BP is, then again nothing is) and it never got finished, it goes to show what Ubisoft is all about but it was playable, at least that is the excuse we give ourselves to be able to enjoy the game more than it annoys us.

    Ok so, Us = Me

Yeah, I don't want people getting all upset.
