Since the update reacting to lights is not possible for me. How am i supposed to read a light from nutral from mmh lets say Gladiator? The Spam is real and trying to play like in the past is no option anymore. And yes we have to READ the opponent but its just a pain in the ....
If the devs gave everyone an opener like the shoulderbash, headbutt ore something like that would have helped enough in my opinion but going fast was their choice i gues.
I dont want to be a crybaby but its not funny to play at the moment. i ll quit the game and hope for another patch in the future. Until than have fun mates and dont abuse your R1 to hard.

I decided to revisit the game after many months away to check out the update, and because there is no other game quite like this one. Considering the changes involving "light spam", frame advantage, and general openings the game feels much better in that sense. When facing opponents who clearly rely on mashing lights it feels like there are more options to deal with that. If you find yourself caught in a light chain the dodge out is a welcome option, depending on the attacker, since some characters' light chains can't be dodged out once you're in them. Then there is possible guard break counter play to your dodge if they planned that, which can lead to a variety of outcomes. Also, you can stay in the chain and try and predict the rest of the attacks, or just tough it out and trade when the opponent's light barrage is over. Overall it does feel like an improvement mechanically.
What I don't like are the chopped animations of the light attack start ups. I understand why this was done, but it really does take away some of the interpretive feel of watching the characters motions for the next attack. Plus since the indicators are slightly delayed, going purely off of them is not something that I think can be consistently done, at least at consoles' 30fps. If there were some way to have the full animations and achieve game-play goals, that would be a huge improvement.
I have some thoughts on the damage numbers for a handful of characters, but honestly I don't know the whole field well enough to say much. What I will say is some of the assassins' attacks appear to be unusually weak. I'll go ahead and say my Shinobi 2 hit light combo feels quite weak on the damage. It's one of the most accessed quick attacks of the character; mainly because at close range he doesn't have many other options, and it is like taking little tiny chips out of the opponent. While most of the time the characters you are fighting have at least a few attack options at this range that do considerably more damage in a fraction of the total attacks. It's like cutting down trees with a pocket knife at times. it is all very situational, I realize.
i'll leave it at that. I'm not super experienced at this game, I just really pay attention when I do play it, and wanted to give some feedback on the update. This is still my favorite fighting game to date.
So just playing again after yesterdays patch my only questions is what are the testing being down for Valks Shoulder pin 4 damage+20 Bleed is not helpful for a deflect since her bleed does not stack. I was going through some damages values you had earlier from the other TG and she was doing 12 damage+25 bleed that is a way better option then 4 damage since her bleed refreshes. If you can give Nuxia 30 damage deflect i don't see why you can't give Valk her original changes.
My Shugoki is crying... No frame adantage + nerf self heal make me sad. It is 5 second move which can be interrupted by ANYONE (enemy or friendly) with such a weak damage and low self heal. Some heroes can do a light attacks so fast that it is impossible to change the guard before hit/block recovery. Time to find hero which can SPAM unblockables over and over again - now without worry about running out of stamina. I am sad![]()

WTF is that nerf to Peacekeeper?
You guys nerfed her Damage so hard, now it's kinda impossible to Execute enemies with her Heavys.
I know there where alot of report's of her beeing too OP,
Then just nerf her bleed Damage a bit, but why are you guys nerfing the Damage of her attacks so hard...
NOW after the patch, all you can do with her is Light attack spam and Bleed spam, because everything else is useless.
I mean, really, why should i go for heavy attacks now?
There slow, Low Damage, and easy to parry.
Thank you for making it even harder to Execute my enemies and making it harder to get Health back.
Now i gotta do like 20+ Attacks to kill an enemies, while they do like 4 attacks (Out of luck or skill) and I'm dead... How is that balanced?
Pls, listen to the Community, (Ask Mains of that Character instead of listening to people who get reckt because they can't play the game).

finally i could install the patch and the game is running again but it took me a lot of restarts and tryouts, at the end i do not rly know the reason.

Think about the change with the perk system, it is still usless to gear up to 180****, u get no advance after u have 3 perks with a gear about 165. It is half done and not thought to the end just like this update too.
They want to do something against lightspam but they made it harder to react on it.
They want to make heavy attacks more attractive but they reduce the damage so lights are more attractive.
They removed the staminadrain from a parry, ok but in a gank u cant get any advance by parry a attack and with all these changes gankers are way stronger imo.

Not all Things are bad, the nerf of some feats were necessary and good. They need to nerf the feats of warmonger but well, new heros are always stronger at start of their Season.
I hope they look at it and change some stats so this game is fun again. Its still a unique game and i still love it.

They wear silver mask with an angry face almost and they have 2 swords... well I hope someone from for honor sees this ...
if your on pc then you should have no problem just practice against orochi's lights...
However on console the frame rate is locked to 30 so that's why nobody on console can parry a light at least almost not... they locked the fps at 30 because the consoles couldn't handle to make it to 60 fps since there's alot of soldiers fighting etc... yes the ps4 Pro and the xbox x could have 60 fps but then the people who own a normal ps4 or a xbox one wouldn't be able to have 60 fps so to be fair for all they locked it at 30 fps since its the optimal setting for the game to look good and well you know the rest....
It's hard to parry lights i just block them... most of the time BUT SHUGOKI HOLY CRAP

Let warmonger the way it is to be honest I'm glad they made it this way that way enemy wont be able to gank up on 1 player its fair when you fight against 4 players ... and the damage is 13 for lights and 33 or for heavies ... to be honest this is how warden was supposed to be in the first place because other than the gladiator and the conqueror and black prior the Knight faction are easily the weakest... but now with warmonger its perfectly balanced so stop crying and get good... and like I said
You can kill warmonger easily with kensei or shugoki just dont get too close and dont spam to death...
