I beat Wardens easily. He's the easiest character to defeat if you have fast lights, bash, or a dodge attack. If you read carefully I said "Reads were always meant for unblockables, soft feints, and bashes." The CCU makes it so everything requires a read including neutral light attacks. I also believe in every character having one unblockable attack as it works wonders with mind games especially if an opponent is out of stamina.Originally Posted by Goat_of_Vermund Go to original post

I'm loving the CCU, even with it's issues.
The problems are quickly being addressed, much to my surprise.
Overall, the changes will balance just about everything once its been fully refined, and all the whiners can just keep on whining.
Must be tough for them having real opposition now. Can't just pick a strong hero and have wins handed over on a silver platter. Not anymore.
RIP
According to this list, a Valkyrie or Shinobi who has all three will absolutely thrash Warden. Poor Warden can't do a thing against a dodge attack.Originally Posted by Lord.Warden. Go to original post
You match the opponent's guard, read if it is a light or heavy, parry. I don't get why it is worse than someone feinting a thousand backdodge shoulderbashes in a row.
I'm reacting just fine, and I'm on console, arguably being a worse experience than PC.Originally Posted by AmsKraken Go to original post
Perhaps you just need to practice without abusing metas.
You were likely using a strong hero Pre CCU, and the changes have closed some gaps between most heroes.
If you're suddenly losing over and over, then it's because you were never that great to begin with.
Your actual skill level is showing, finally.
Anyone who thinks the CCU made the game more balanced should be laughed at & never taken seriously in any of their commentary ever again. You are provably wrong.
Peacekeeper has 5dmg side dodge heavies. Read that sentence slowly. Let it marinate in your brain. Take aaaaall the time you need.
There are now clearly viable chars & clearly underpowered chars. Thats not opinion it is fact.

Until you let your brain marinate, let me introduce you to a Peacekeeper move called Deep Gouge. It is a confirmed light stab after any heavy attack that succesfully lands, deals 1 direct damage, and 10 bleed damage (2/s for 5 seconds). It also gives frame advantage to the Peacekeeper. That means her dodge attack deals 16 damage full, gives her back the frame advantage, and for 5 seconds, makes her light enchanced. If you need tips with Peacekeeper, feel free to ask, I am rep 70 with her on PC and main her since Season 1. Since her brutal nerfs, she never felt this strong (still needs buffs obviously, though her 4v4 potential is bigger than most give credit for her, she is generally played quite poorly in team modes).
There were viable and unviable characters before the CCU. There are stronger and weaker characters now, but since everyone has neutral 400ms-ish lights, nobody is so insanely over- or underpowered as before, everyone has offense. The gap between a Warmonger and a Shinobi is clearly not as big as the gap between a Lawbringer and basically any B tier was.
PK is better but she could be improved just like any other hero B to C tier this update improved
their 1v1 potential but only slightly touched their 4v4 viability which is what everyone mostly plays on.
Xp and rewards are a big issue with certain modes dominion and breach are the main
4v4 modes that people play on which is a given fact. The main reason why
people talk about PK being a bad hero in their eyes is because they
only play 4v4 with her including myself back then when I wanted
to test her out for CCU I got demolished. She isn't kitted out
for 4v4 combat mainly 1v1 combat that is my mistake.

She is one of the fastest heroes in the game, probably the fastest if only check maintened speed. She is invisible on the minimap if you take the only tier 1 feat worth taking (and also invulnerable to any projectile feats). She has a very good ambush potential, it is surprising how well you may surprise attack opponents (which is a very good punish if you use your running guardbreak, or on some maps, a drop attack). She is very hard to catch too. If you have a competent team, and you focus on supporting them by stealth attacking people and back capping zones, she is quite the asset. Most people don't play her like that, I always just sigh when I see one actively participating in a team fight (where she almost always dies first).
By the way, Warmonger has a tier 2 feat which is a weaker Arrow Storm, for one circle and 45 damage to each individual opponents. Of course, most of them picks their unique, however, I find it quite useful. If PK's completely useless Fiat Lux would be replaced by it, that would instantly raise her power a lot. My biggest issues are with the feats, her tier 2 feats are next to useless, and her unique tier 4 is extremely situational (of course, Fear Itself seems like a good choice, but I already wrote down how pk works in team fights: she doesn't).
