The location, style, world for Far Cry 6.5 - the SpinOff after Far Cry 6? [Whishlist]

Far Cry 6 is on it's way; and I am sure it will be great ... if not - and you overhyped it for yourself - well, ... at least it will be a very solid open world shooter

We know it will play in Yara which is mostly inspired by Cuba (at least it's history if we look on its economics and the environment). Maybe a lot of people who wanted Far Cry 6 to be set in Cuba, or at least in South America, can be a bit more happy now.

The main games of the Far Cry Series have always had a more realistic place/location since Far Cry 2 (Central Africa; an island in Southeast Asia; a state near/in the Himalaya; a valley in Montana, USA with a sect problem).

I know it will still take some time and we can all be hyped (not overhyped) for the upcoming Far Cry 6. But I also want to look and talk over Far Cry "6.5".
These Far Cry SpinOffs have become a regular routine and I hope it stays that way: (The legendary) Blood Dragon (Far Cry 3.5), also: Primal (Far Cry 4.5) and New Dawn (Far Cry 5.5).

It is much harder to predict where, when ... ... or even how these worlds in these X.5-titles will look like. The studios have a lot more (creative) freedom here and I think we should let them this freedom.
==> We could literally end up everywhere. <==
A fact that I like ... wait: Need to clarify it: A fact that I realy like! One of the best aspects of the Far Cry Series for me.
Months ago I talked with some people in this forum about possible locations of potential SpinOff after Far Cry 6. About: Far Cry "6.5" (or similar). And also about a few possible DLCs for Far Cry 6 with new, unique locations (similar to Far Cr 5: Hours of Darkness and Lost on Mars; not Counting the Co-Op-Zombie thing.)
These ideas are spread in the Ubisoft-Forum/Far Cry 5 Topic ... maybe I will summarize them, if I find some time.

    ~

But first: I want to throw something open for discussion:

    - Do you think there will be a Far Cry "6.5" - a (maybe very creative and surprising) SpinOff?

    - Which location, time, style [fictional, sci-fi, fantasy, creative*, historical, mystical*, dark, bright, serious, "meta-level"-funny like Blood Dragon or Lost on Mars, deep, realistic, crazy, ...] , whatever would you like to see? Or which one do you expect to see?

    - Do you think we will get some DLCs with new locations and short stories like for Far Cry 5? (Or do you expect something like "Vallay of the Yetis"* for Far Cry 4? ... ... *I think this one way cut of the main game (after escaping the prison), but re-added later as DLC, ... luckily.)

    - Do you like the fact that the SpinOffs of Far Cry are very creative (or in other words:"total crazy" - meant in a positive way of course)?

*Hint: I also look on the 2nd DLCs for Assassin's Creed Origins and Assassin's Creed Odyssey: The 4 different Egyptian afterworld locations [in the Curse of the Pharao DLC] and [in Odyssey:] the three maps in the Atlantis DLC. No question, these very very creative. The topic was in both cases the life after death - which is a very mystical topic (which I personally like).
I whish Far Cry would have also something similar to the Assassin's Creed DLC locations in the future. - you, too? (Sure, we have Shanrgi-La ... but why not push this apsect? Shangri-La were "only" a few side missions in Far Cry 4. Why not bring something "bigger" (and more epic) out? [Also with much deeper gameplay than in Shangri-La?]

So What you think? Expect? Whish?

I m not criticising at all what you re saying here. Yet it illustrates quite well our current society: we have yet to see an actual bit of gameplay of the upcoming game that we are yet thinking of the next one.

By reading you I did started to think about it myself and try to imagine what it could be (along with 6's DLC). Yet i felt somehow bad for it because I was feeling just like a guy that s ready to feast at lunch on something and already thinks about what he s gonna eat for dinner. I think that as far as I m concerned, I ll focus on 6 for now. ^^

I don't know where will be Far Cry 6.5 but voodoo or santorini shouldn't be missed.

May be some swampy area, voodoo sorcerers, ghosts.....or something else.

African religions played important part in local people world view.
Regardless of race, nationality or position in society.

What to say about local people.....even european and american famous polititians, businessmen, those who are at the pinnacle of power - they use the services of african sorcerers.
    I couldn't believe it first!
Not the Church but african sorcerers!

People on the top are not fools and they want to use something that really works.
And that african sorcery, voodoo.....something that people mostly laugh at - it works and they use it.

There are sorcerers in Africa (in Mozambique, for instance) who are paid a lot of money for their services, by the top rich and powerful europeans and americans.
To protect their bisuness, to destroy the opponent's health....and so on.
The entire african village can live on this money just a whole year.

    But it's a short-term gain.

Such sorcerers are called - Caravaneers.
    Caravaneers to the Downworlds.
They organize their own caravan of people who use their services.

So african sorcerers have double benefit here - money and souls.

According to their witchcraft science the more dark souls will be in their caravan to the Downworlds - the easier will be for them to enter the Upperworlds.

But powerful want something now and here, something that works.
And they're not shy about money for people who can help them.

So, I think santorini, voodoo, sorcery shouldn't be missed in the game.

I'm with Cassowary, I'll wait til I've played FC6 to start thinking about what'll come after, because they already know, so what we want it to be won't change anything...

I'm with password1234xxx. Better to think or at least to dream in advance!

There are legends and eyewitnesses of such a legendary creature as Jigue in Cuba.

    Good for the game!

Also I've read about Cagueiros - people who can turn into animals.
    It has indian root.
Taino say they've come from the time when stones could talk and trees could sing.
And people could communicate over long distances using big sea shells. ( something like cellphone)

Such local beliefs also can be used in the game.

For example, Jigue, who was mostly not agressive, angered by bad people.
Hunters or soldiers behaviour could make him very furious.

Something like it was in Swamp Thing....

I like how he uses nature as a weapon.

Honestly, I know that it looks naive to make a whishlist for Far Cry "6.5".
Far Cry 6 was in developement for around 4 years; means since 2016 - this is the year in which Far Cry Primal was released (or Call of Duty Infinite Warfare, Battlefield 1, Doom (2016 Remake)).

I guess the main/basic ideas for Far Cry 6 were collected in the year 2015-2017.

Imagine how hard this job is: Finding out what is "in" ... wolrdwide ... is alone a tough job. But companies like Ubisoft has to find out, what will be "in" in 3, 4 or even 5 years. Also their products and the products of their competitors will influence the outcome ... mostly in chaotic ways. What will we have for a world in 4 years? And what will games like in 4 yers?
Can someone tell me what he/she will like in 5 years? I can't say this for myself, too. But - I hope for good games, too. And no one can decide what he will like or dislike. So ... what will be "good games" for me in 4 years? Lol?! ;D
Even older people will change in this time period: People who like cars might start to read old books (not good for Forza Motorsport), fans of dinosaurs might love space in a few years (bad for Jurassic World, good for a few other franchises) and kids who are like 14 years old (and still play Mikey Mouse Quests ... sry the stereotype, nothing bad about Mikey Mouse Quests ... but I hope you know what I mean) at the moment might want to play even more realisitc games.
And on top of that: Above these questions, we still have the question: "Who will be the gamer in 4 or 5 years?", new games, old ones? A mix of both? ... How accurate is the composition? Let alone the preferences ...

Never the less, it doesn't mean, that we shouldn't collect cool ideas:
Why? --> It shows were a few of the customers "stay now" ... or in other words: What "we like and want now" ... or at elast think that we want, lol.
... this increases also the chances that the Far Cry Games - or other game series - will be much more like "we want them" in the future; also: smaller ideas don't have such a big time span, e. g. single weapons could be added much faster than a setting ... or loot boxes can be removed because they start to be illegal in more and more countries; and: ... if the game ("Far Cry 6.5") is already in developement, it could be a comparative value: 'Whish' and the 'Existing Project', whith the possibility to turn on a few screws (... well, depends on the status of the project, hart to just with the value: "time". More people can do more work in less time, if we exclude creative proprocess.)

So, to say it is "too late", well: It depents on the point of view and the hope in what you/we want to achieve or how we try to help. As for my posts and ideas, I never "realy" talk over a special game like Far Cry 6, 7 or 8 - even if I do so. I use them to give examples; - sure. But I am not naive.

On the other side: I don't think it is to early to talk about Far Cry "6.5" - and talking about it will "ruin" the personal "hype" for Far Cry 6.
... it is like we have two "parts" of Far Cry: The more realistic Main Row, and the ... very free, creative and surprising SpinOffs (and - in parts - DLCs). Strangely there was always a connection between both "parts" of the Far Cry Franchise - like two sides of a coin. They never stand in direct competition, they benefit of each other ... somehow*. Maybe we could find out, what this connection is and this "*somehow" means, if we collect now some ideas for Far Cry "6.5" knowing a bit, how Far Cry 6 will look like ... at least in its setting.

And if not ... making a few "whishlist-plans" for the future won't hurt anyone yet

"Make a decision, otherwise someone else will make one for you." or "If you don't say what you want, you don't have to be surprised if you get just 'anything'" ... okay, ... 'anything' could be very cool, too ... but shouldn't we help it up to become cool?! ...

I can tell you what people will like in 5 years!

Like or not like but they won't be able to remain indifferent to this.

Next 5 years will be crucial for many countries.
    Great changings ahead.

    Everything starts with this......

It is happening from century to century, in many countries.
People driven to despair by social injustice just start smashing all around. They crush, set fire, loot.

They loot something they can hardly buy.
They vandalize as challenge to the society.
It is a scream! - Something is going wrong.

Like a pain in our body.
Pain is a signal - something is wrong with your body.

Like we scream and cry when we feel pain so society is screaming and crying when something goes wrong...in riotes, violence and blood.

But it is not Far Crying it is very Close Crying. Because we're also part of this society.
    It will touch everybody.

Ubisoft shouldn't hide its head in the sand.
    It should be ahead!

    But today people are blind.
They feel injustice, pain, but they don't know what to do. And they crush, burn and loot....

    Today "Joker" seized the protests.
    Madness and destruction.
    Anger, rage.....desire to destroy everything.

    But it won't last long.
Sooner or later people will start understand that by crushing and destroying everything you can't go far!
    System itself should be changed.
But it can't be changed Evolutionary - it can be changed only Revolutionary.

And "Joker" will be replaced by "Lenin".
Madness and Destruction will be replaced by Mind and Creation.

How will look American "Lenin".....No one knows! (may be it will be collective "Lenin".)

But his main feature will be - ability to get to the heart of the problems.
To get to the heart and to say as it is.

And this future American "Lenin" will be equal to George Washington. May be even greater!
He will make America not a country for rich, as it was formed, but he will make America a country for all americans, for all people. In reality!

Otherwise there are only two possible variants : 1) Country Destruction. ( It will start with - let's change its name.) 2) Fascist Dictatorship.

So.....next five years will be important.
Ubisoft should be in the thick of things!

As promised, here a small list of the ideas for a Far Cry 6.5 I had: (short version)

These were not alone my ideas, so check the braces [ ].

    1. "Something with Dinosaurs" - maybe Jurassic World licensed (?) [Idea also by undefined rumors in the Internet]
    2. Dark Post-Apocalyptic Western Theme [Idea also by GameGuru2018]
    3. Demonic Scenario, in which a priest (with good and hardcore sayings) fights his way into and maybe through (the stereotype) hell, around the year 1900 [Idea by my team-/workmate]
    4. Fantasy Scenario with classic aspects; but also a lot of yucky and also Far Cry typical aspects
[UPDATE:] 5. Futuristic/Sci-Fi Setting [no details here, but why not put it in this list already?]

Maybe we can extend the list ... at least after Far Cry 6 will be released.
But maybe someone has already an interessting idea.

My wish list on this subject (both spin offs and major games) is potentially endless but I ll try to be realistic and sum it up (including my not so welcomed scenarios)…

I love Far Cry games especially because of their mostly exotic settings that help me relax and stop thinking about the every day problems of the urban life style.

So for me a Urban Far Cry would be a no go. I know that FR6 is going to have a urban -city map and I am ok to experiment with that as long as its not a big percentage of the map as a whole. Plus we already have GTA games in that setting.

A Far West- Far Cry : I wouldn't like this setting since we already have Red Dead Redemption

    A Blade Runner/ Sci-Fi Far Cry : I wouldn't like this setting since ,soon ,we’re getting Cyberpunk 2077

A Jurassic World Far Cry : Would be fun and probably we re going to get it someday ,but cant see how it can be more than a DLC dew to luck of content / diversity of enemy types. I also know there must be some similar games out there (Ark Survival , Second Extiction) so again it wouldn't add something new.

A Post Apocalyptic /I am Legend / Walking Dead Far Cry : Even though there are similar games like Dying Light ,some VR games ,Rage , Fallout or even Metro Exodus I believe Ubisoft has the budget and the know how to outclass them and I would love to see Ubisofts version at one of my favorite setting.

A Horror /Van Helsing Far Cry . Would be pretty interesting to have something like a Resident Evil The Village in a massive scale open world !!!!

A Far Cry Fantasy . Would love to see a Warhammer Vermitide Far Cry as long as it didn’t use to much magic/spells and was more melee+bow and arrow focused. The variety of scenery and enemies would be endless.

A modern militaristic/special ops Chris Ryan(Bravo Two Zero) Far Cry could utilize every now days modern weapon (guns , jets , hellicopters, tanks) in the world plus have the greatest variety of enemy vehicles , jets, soldiers /officers /special ops etc even great variety of friendlies as well (guns for hire)

An ancient/historic Chris Ryan(Bravo Two Zero) or Spartacus Far Cry , melee focused ,where you would take the place of an ancient Roman soldier trying to get back home after the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest or a Chinese soldier trying to escape the Mongol Invasion or a more Medieval /Crusader scenario etc….

ps :Not exactly Far Cry related. A First Person Assassins Creed. Since I don’t play third person games I would gladly try any Assassins Creed in first person .

It can be two in one.
Dark Post-Apocalyptic ( or not post-apocalyptic) Western + Demonic Scenario.

Just in every "western song" ...... there are words about Hell, Devil, Demon, Ghost ....

Why not to show it in the game?
    So many types of enemies!
    Diversity!

    And colors....

Ubisoft games today look like cartoons, with bright and vivid colors.
Even the last Far Cry (New Dawn) couldn't escape that fate.
    Very predictable.

Some diversity in colors won't be bad.

    Dark colors + Fire (bright).

Beasts from Hell, The Devil, different Ghosts ....
Our world enemies + all that devilry. From another world.

For instance, some desparate cowboy, whose desire for revenge was so great that he was allowed to materialize in this world again, for a short time.
    In exchange for something.

Or some villain, the Devil himself.

I like also to switch between the worlds in the game, something like it was in "Murdered: Soul Suspect" or "Wolfenstein (2009)"

So.....Dark (Post-Apocalyptic or not Post-Apocalyptic) Western + Demonic Scenario can merge together easily!

    Dark colors + Fire...
    Real enemies + Hell creatures,
    Ghosts....

Good story and Villain + Gameplay....

    Mixed with viscous music ....
