AI team mates is positive for me

Just a positive comment about the addition of AI team mates. It allows me to use different tactics including echelon. Before AI I had to resort to Medic too much cause I didn't want to start over if I could get an extra life.

I have enjoyed echelon more now and the handgun does work well and the Echelon SMG is a smooth operating sub machine gun at good distances. I used the blaster gun too on a Behemoth.

Do you have any gameplay videos to show they ways in which you're using them?

yes I would be interested too please.

I tried using them a few times but besides the sync shots I didn't really find any tactic that works with them so if you have tips I'm curious.

Here are a few tips: (player experience may vary)
    - I usually use them to take out snipers who are out my sniping range.
    - Also, I can use the sync shot drones in tandem with the AI sync shots. For example, I set up the sync drone shots up first, then the AI. I fire the drones, and immediately afterward I engage the AI sync shots.
    - Occasionally, I'll send them to another part of a base, area etc., to create a diversion while I grab the CO on the opposite side of the base.

***I've only one instance where they were spotted by Sentinel. Hopefully, in the coming updates, more dialogue can or should be added to flesh out their personalities.

Yep, that's the only way I was able to use them, send them at the opposite part of a base and have them start shooting so I can get in from another entrance, and shoot ennemies in the back.

My problem is, they don't stay in place, I'd prefer them to get cover and attract ennemies by shooting, by as soon as they are cleared hot, they start progressing into the base and kill everyone in sight.

I think it's very limited (sync shots aide, it's only one strategy besides having them do nothing at all); that's why I'd be interested in gameplay showcasing of to use the teammates in a more tactical way.

But thanks for your reply, hopefullu more people share their experience!

I have had some success with them. Typically if things start to go sideways I'll have them open up and once I am out of a jam have them regroup on me out of harm's way just to keep them from clearing a base on their own. I also use them in any of those "defend this stupid spot for 2 minutes" situations. Not a big fan of those as they typically having you standing out in the open and not having the sense to move the PC you are hacking to a defensible location.

They are better than nothing but for sure are very limited in how you can use them effectively.

My pleasure. Do you play with the HUD off? If so, it can make them almost invaluable. They've saved my bacon a few times when I didn't see targets that were danger close.

Just move away from the pc you protect and start shooting and you will be fine, the sentinels shoot at you and not the pc you defend

Lately yes, I am playing with the HUD completely off. When you say they saved you a few times, did they take out the ennemy before he could shoot at you?

I was just in a base where I was detected by an ennemy (I play the level just under extreme difficulty) and the AI Team did shoot the sentinel guy but not before he could shoot at me, making the entire base alerted. I was a bit disappointed because equipping silencers on their weapons doesn't really make any difference.

Vasily and Fury have shot them before I was right up on the enemy.
