I'ma go with tambor198's sig

There is one which has been my favourite since I first saw it, and I have no hesitation in voting for it now: Mittelwaechter

Many people have tried to create SH3 graphics (not just sigs) that feature a wolf in some way. Mittelwaechter's is definitely the best!


I wish I could vote for more than one, as there has been so much effort gone into making all these sigs

I must mention the following:

Kaleun1961 & Messervy - like Carotio says, these 'alte garde' sigs have been icons of the SH3 forum since these guys first arrived! (more so than mine which has changed 3 or 4 times...)

Tambor - Tambor's sigs have consistently caught my eye with every one he's made (he must be on at least sig #20 by now!)

I'm just trying to keep it simple VG I'm afraid! But I do encourage what you've all been doing - expanding on your single vote with commendations. Keep it up!

I haven't really been keeping count since I went sig crazy, VG, but I suspect it's more than that. You should see some of the ones I've never used.

Viking Grandad gets my vote, although it took some time for me to decide. Mittelwaechter's came a close second in my mind. I guess I prefer the haunting image of the viking longship of VG's design. And like a few others have commented, I feel some affection for some of the sig banners that have been here a long time.

There are some good sig banners in here, but I feel some are too "busy" i.e. too much content, which detracts from their visual appeal. It is very tempting to try to cram a lot of elements into the restricted confines allowed by the forum's rules, but it's too much of a good thing, if you can get what I mean. I also prefer banners that don't incorporate modern elements within the design, or pictures alongside game graphics. I think it contributes too much contrast between sharp photos and grainier game graphics, and the two sort of clash with each other.

Anyhow, thanks to all who have entered, and of course, to those who take the time to cast a vote.

A very good assessment, Kaleun. I'm beginning to believe that simpler is better instead of cramming to much into one picture.
