Case of beer and bag of rinds on their way FedEx

You're the best, lane. Need something to drink while watching the Bears this afternoon, anyway. Hope you sent the beer sameday shipping.

The Boys have a bye week. Then on to Philly and NYG. Those are going to be blood baths.

I hope they continue with the sig comps...it was a great way to get the Ubi SH4 and SH3 crowd talking.

How do people feel about a 'themed' comp? Perhaps involving a particular well known vessel from the Atlantic or Pacific (depending on which SH 'camp' you sit in) - It would be interesting to see different people's interpretations wouldn't?

Sounds interesting, RJ. Could you elaborate a little more.

Sure. Well, we could stick with generic sig banners of course, I was just thinking perhaps we could theme the sigs for another competition and for the basis of that use a vessel we'd be familiar with from SH3 and SH4.

For example, a future comp could have to incorporate an element of the VIIc U-Boat for the SH3 sigs, and for SH4 an element of the Salmon class sub. It could be as open as that - how you interpret it and use it is up to you!

I'm wary of restricting people's imaginations and weighing it down with rules etc - just wondering if we all had a common theme to work on what the results might be?

Thinking visually - It might not be the U-Boat or Sub we theme either, it could be a surface vessel such as HMS Hood or Bismarck for SH3, and suitable comparisons in SH4. Or an historic event from each theatre of war, or a particular Kaleun / Commander (My first sig banner here was of Wolfgang Luth, because he is my favourite U-Boat Kaleun)

Just a thought. I welcome ideas

Sounds like a great idea, RJ. We can always work out the finer points as we go along, right.
