Me and my brother played a lot of super smash brothers melee when we were kids. Darting around seeing who could land smash attacks the most.Originally Posted by Kakarlos19 Go to original post
This wasn't what SSM was like at all with actual decent players.
Just as i'm sure however you played KOF 2000 wasn't the same as actually good players of the series. I myself have not seen much of the KOF series but i've watched a few tournies and people are not capable of perfect defense.
Yes FH is different. But the gameplay we all experienced prior to this update was not the experience we were meant to have. CCU is meant to bring FH much closer to the kind of game they wanted to achieve when they set out to make this game. Or at least that's the general assumption based on statements made a long while ago when the devs seriously started cranking out major changes to the cast and the game itself.
And you're perfectly fine to like how old FH was. I was not attempting to say otherwise. My cheeky first remark was just that. Cheeky. Hopefully you find your fun else where.
"I don’t know why they didn’t just save the CCU for forhonor2, then run both games where the button mashers could play 2 while the guys who like skill stayed on 1... makes sense to me...."
you have to understand laws of business a little. No one is going to hold whole game with dedicated servers so 500 skilled players could play and have their fun. Game needs to generate income, for that it needs to attract basic player base. Most of that players base going to be the "filthy" casuals, who play few hours a week and want to buy that sexy skin for hard cash. This is true for every game out there today. Unfortunately, no matter how much you dislike it, you need these casuals for game to exist. Just as example, there was game called Wild Star, an MMO, a WoW killer made by some old WoW devs. they focused solely on hardcore player base, told casuals so go FTSelves. Needless to say when all casuals left, they were unable to financially sustain the game, servers and etc for hardcorers to enjoy and shut down the game 3 years later.
if you want for honor to continue it's existence, you need to accept casuals as necessary mean. Lastly, For Honor is a session based e-sport type of game, with in game shop, various customization, and etc. There can not be For Honor 2.any session based, pvp, e-sport type of game, can not have a sequel, because it's all based on achievements to boost you e-pin, the money people pour to customize their toons and etc. Sequels are acceptable only in Story driven single player games like witcher, dark souls.
