    CCU, the community killer

Ill be honest here, before the update hit i was really hyped up, i couldn't wait to play the new hero and enjoy the new speed, however i was not expecting the "other surprises"
First the damage numbers, man they suck, AI generated or not i don't like them, people don't, it feels like i am dying faster in ganks than before with the new heavy damage dealing like what 3 times a normal light

I've lost interest into 4v4, 2v2 and everything else, i mostly goof around with my friends in custom lobbies and fight in ridiculous conditions
but even so, the game is just not fun, whenever i get a light parry or get light parried it's like getting hit by LBs old old light parry punish
it's not fun, 3 parries and you are done, and it feels like the first who initiates the fight is the one who wins, now im not sure if this is because of the new frame
advantage (which should not be in my favor) or because of the minor skill difference but it always felt like that

Another thing, with the damage shifting so much, heroes have lost their identity when it comes to damage, example being nobushi with fairly decent heavies dealing 30 damage
and even 40+ when the enemy is bleeding, sure i get that she has a really sharp spear, but i don't think the weight and pure force compares to raider's or shugoki's .

For me, this update put the nail in the coffin, i don't think the game will ever see a massive growth like it did when the patch hit.
As of August 20th 2020, the game is loosing players at a slow pace.
And that is not the only thing its killing, my inspiration and passion of making threads about reworks, ideas and generally being active was also killed in the process
i think most people lost hope and stopped caring when the update hit due to the ridiculous numbers and changes.

And i still support my own idea of them just giving us a flat hp increase
instead of these crappy scaling numbers.

I don’t really see this rapid player lose you speaking of.

Judging from the numbers on pc we got a our normal 5-6k uptime and 3k downtime playerbase that we have since Marching fire.

It’s actually currently quite the opposite we had a slight increase and are now sometimes near 7k at uptimes. (These are steam numbers)

We will never get a gigantic playbase but if you look at it we already have a huge playbase if you compare us to the other brawlers and fighting games. (We most of the time we got more then them)

Only the old and whiny players that cannot adapt are leaving. The people who abuse meta and overpowered champions leave because they cannot do anything else. I am seeing more players than previously, especially new names and new players whereas before it was the same old players.

I join to Gaser and Gay. I actually find the game more fun to play than before the CCU. It is far from perfect, but definetely better than before: the vast differences in hero power got smaller, turtling is not as safe as it used to, and most heroes now have unreactable offense.

Let's take Aramusha. He clearly got hit too hard in the CCU, but tbh, I could never imagine him having realistic chance to win against a Black Prior or Lawbringer. He does now.

I mean i'd be there too if TTK wasn't as absurd as it is now. Hopefully that's taken care of on the 27th. Even if they nail that patch though I won't be happy till they address the state of some heros that were fine on TG week 2.

What do you mean by unreactable offense I've seen people parry lights over 6 matches since
the update came out you obviously found easy players if they couldn't react goat.

Are you three blind what's worse is they put out a mediocre version yet you all believe
that it's good honestly if you got the TTS version you'd still say the same thing heck
I would've if that were case but it isn't.

I was expecting better wasn't anyone else yet this update ruined a couple of characters
not naming a few because we all know I feel lawbringer was buffed and nerfed in a way.
Standardizing dam numbers buffed certain heros and nerfed some.

The stamina drain on lights was horrendous that was a terrible idea and who thought it was a good idea
to make a character with feats that deny protecting objectives and ganks.

Aramusha just feels even more bland then usual and orochi got an unblockable
thank the stars only that it's useless.

I fully believe this update was garbage in disguise.

I was quite surprised when the update launched, they kept a steady 5-6K.
The "rapid loss" was a bit of an exaggeration, but i've noticed a decline over a few days, a pretty consistent decline if you ask me, but it might've just been some events that induced that.
