This was exactly what i assumed before the ccu changes went life. The majority of player abuse dodge double tap out from most fight now and light spam is even more now. I got no issues with light spam all of them are gifts and free damage counters but yeah people fight without brain now.. IQ 70 spam in gank.
So many player ****ting in their pants to fight a 1v1 that you only see in dom and breach full team roaming ganktrains till you get revenge and then dodge away log off and double tap far far away.. so funny to run behind and tryhard on those.. so fun!!
Dom and Breach is not about 1v1. It is not about being scared, losing an 1v1 is putting your team in disadvantage. If you are not sure you will beat that person (or fighting them worth the risk), it is the best to not engage alone.
Gank teams are very easy to play around: you take the objectives where they are not fighting currently. Warmonger made it even easier.
While I acknowledge what Goat said about strategic retreat or disengage and agree, I also observed what O.Poster is saying.
Doble tap back roll and running away from fights ocurrency is higher now, at least in my experience, and also agree on the part that if done at every single encounter is extremely annoying, specially running away .
I understand as a pk main, that her and shinobi SOMETIMES need to do it,. But a heavy? a warden? shaolins? A CONQ? ALWAYS? I´m not even posting about ganks, single engages in breach, this "players" at the first sign of problems do double tap backroll and RUN away. My god every single time, and they are expecting the best moment to attack you in ganks(not to help their teams, solely to obtain the kill) or in middle of confussion, even stealing kills of their teamates at succesful GBs of them. Again ganking is normal in 4vs4 also to trying to do it the most efficient way, but doing this at every single engage I mean running away at the first sign of problems is unfun as hell. Even if I won the matches I vented my frustration on them, without offenses by msg post game,(not my best moment sorry about that) but is really abusing on cowardice doing it every single engage against me(this is not strategy they just don´t want any risk, knowing my warlord is a slow runner), half damage done to them and they run away(no matter if they also done good damage to me)this persons do it 100% of the time, jesus...grow some...
I almost solely play pk now, so I don't see many people running from me (or they don't get very far). But that injured player running away from the objective usually does very little to contribute, so just letting them getting away is not always a bad choice (especially if there is no heal available for them).Originally Posted by PapillonFlota Go to original post
I think the fact people dont run away from a PK anymore is due to the fact how underwhelming she is.Originally Posted by Goat_of_Vermund Go to original post
On one side you curse and humiliate people for doing the smart thing about trying a different approach in a team based game by retreating from what would end most likely in defeat and on the other side you humiliate people for not being able to win agains you because they have the IQ of 85.Originally Posted by PapillonFlota Go to original post
So either way we lack brain and should run face first into the tip of your sword?

Sometimes the best decision is to run away, I didn´t said otherwise, I do on ocassion with PK, she is fast but very limited, and I only do when I killed 1 or two people and their teamates go after me , so while I have less than 25% of health they come after with full health. And not every single time I would do that.
What I said is that is incredible annoying and unfun when oponents always run away with a good char like warden or lawbro, or a strong defensive char like conq ... and now shaolins do it all the time...orochis well is a mandatory thing almost, since my first playing session bad roachs are doing it. Sometimes is justifiable, but always? I mean really? a conqu with feline agility ALWAYS (like 15 times) running away at the slightest sign of losing?? c´mon...and the worst was a recent mirror warlord(my second main) that was so pitiful...Literally I never run away with him, stalling or even trying to destroy the full team is not only funnier but also easier...if they killed me at least it was after a lenghty fight, while my team was busy conquering zones...or in the way of defending the zone I was previously trying to. Both ways I helped more...than just a big muscled man running (slowly) across the map.
Literally I laughed so hard in that session.
I understand I sounded harsh in my other post, but maybe 80% is too much. Maybe half playerbase or a little more...I mean they could learn just by practicing in the arena and learn a few movesets to actually be capable of killing me. that post was more about those people who are not trying to learn better ways than button mashing and possibly they never will, so devs coudl make a thousand changes to help them but dedicated players will always prevail.
I never really got into conqueror and I think since I last tried to learn him he got some new skills and even as opponents they've been so rare that I look in awe when I get devastated by them (because I have no clue what they can do apart from going full block and shield bashing) but whenever I hear conqueror I also hear it coupled with cries and pleas for buffs. Same goes for lawbringer, orochi and some others but I am aware that most of the cries may be unjustified just because gameplay has been drastically altered and most people struggle to adapt to the new changes. For example: Take warmonger for example: while everyone agrees that her standard feats are just gamebreaking in 4vs4 modes, there are still people who insult you for besting them with the "evil overpowered pay 2 win character" that is warmonger in a duel.Originally Posted by PapillonFlota Go to original post
Also I'm probably one of the few suicidal guys that walks into 2vs1 and even 3vs1 just for training purposes and also to block enemy point gains or just to keep them occupied, sometimes it works because enemies are just too predictable, most of the time i get maybe 1 revenge off and die during assaults or just my lack of knowledge how to deal with certain enemies in those situations and sometimes I get facerolled by bashes and sweeps that were orchestrated by premade teams just because I didn't see them coming or they have characters that can create so many consecutive 50/50 situations that my overall success rate drops down significantly.
First of all not everyone has the dedication to work stuff out in training mode.Originally Posted by PapillonFlota Go to original post
Second, I think stuff that works in training mode doesn't necessarily work in multiplayer matches.
"Dedicated players will always prevail", that is true for pretty much every game/task/profession.
Lastly, I agree that most people don't really put much effort in playing it smart. Lots of times I see people with strong minionwave clear skip past objective and on to fight outside of a zone against assembled enemies. Heavies that start roaming and thus forcing assassins to defend a zone.
But there is no need to throw everyone in the same pot and declare them braindamaged. (even if some of them really need to make multiple appointment with my fist...not because "stupid" but because bad sports)
I agree not all can dedicate themselves to a game, but that is not excuse to not trying at least to know the other movesets or to train half an hour at their day off.
secondly, I think they are not braindamaged, that´s why I said Combat IQ, I was talking about their thought processes related to combat proficiency.
This something I cannot translate very well cause Im not a native english speaker but one of my careers is anthropology, and in the field of evolutive psycology/anthropology this is a recurrent topic, the difference in the inteligence related to especific processes due to evolution at different ambients or more recently artificial surroundings. It´s complicated but for example my family descended from corsairs, pirates and assault troops, they excelled at assaulting enemies ships, (My surname Flota is translated to fleet in english) and many of my ancestors were really good at melee,my grand pa was a chief of security for a local mexican governor, famed for his skills I also as my son are inclined to melee much more than guns. This is only relevant to the post as this is an example of how evolutive pressure can make our thought processes better at some areas, homever as the Global IQ, this processes can be affected by constant training, in this case I was talking(writing) about many individuals that could be better at the game by just be more informed and with a will of training.
Maybe the devs should implement an extra in game message when someone clearly attacks you initially and then run away like XXX Player has fortified cowardly and lost XXX points from Team.. that would be awesome and prevent people to be little bit-ches ;-)))
Consequently this should only be the case when you are not outnumbered. Running away when you are outnumbered is strategy and not cowardice.
