I have to disagree and I can say this since I reinstalled on console last night and have played most of today. PC and console both have their own problems with the CCU. PC's is generally ttk/stamina based but there is some character problems too. Console is more on the animation/indicator side. Some heros like warden, conq, and valk feel fine animation and indicator wise. Where as characters like Warlord look really janky and hard to tell what they're character is doing at all. I've only fought one kensei so far but I did not have an issue blocking his lights consistently.
I've found shaolin and Nobushi to be rather enjoyable on console where as on pc even though they're a bit more effective they still get shut down pretty easily. On console I was having people consistently block mix ups on both heros. But not if I varied myself enough. And they definitely were rarely parried. Where that's not the case with pc. The main issue i've ran into on console is mainly input delay. If i'm not totally focused up it's hard to block follow up lights after heavies. And I am not getting as many parries as I thought I would be getting since I was still reacting to the parry flash I couldn't physically parry because you have to premptively parry now. Which is definitely good on paper but mechanically it feels ****ty with how it's implamented.
I'm planning to play more console over the next few days to finalize my feelings but at least at the current moment I don't really agree that the CCU has destroyed console. It's a mixed bag. Just like PC. Just for different reasons.
