Side activities and missions have been a thing since FC3 with its "Wanted dead" and hunting quests, alongside the races for medicine. It expanded with races challenges, sabotage missions, convoys and convoy protection, hostages liberation and bomb defusing... up to fishing in FC5 or raiding distant areas in New Dawn.
As much as I hope most of this stuff comes back (especially fishing, convoys and weapon specific challenges), I really wonder what could be added as new side objectives in FC6. Maybe some kind of "raid and loot" objectives where you have to raid a depot and grab as much stuff as possible to put inside a car while reinforcement comes (waves of enemies stronger and stronger would limit you in time). Or something like preparing ambushes just like valley of the yetis, where you and a few allies choose between a selection of traps to block path for a tank and surprise its crew...
What would you like to see? More of specific side activities/mission style? New ones you can think of? Tell us here, we re all eager to know i think!
far cry 2 also had side missions with assassinations in restricted areas and convoy ambush to unlock new weapons i did very much like that the ambush missions were used to unlock weapons i would hope that far cry 6 that side missions and activities reward players well with if not weapons themselves then attachments or pieces of clothing so that you get more variety in customization by doing these things simply giving player money is no more enough motivation
i would like to see return of wanted poster style mission they do not have to be wanted posters but i like the mission type of going to track down a specific character and take them out with far cry 6 it could be that you are targeting specific officers in el presidentes army it would be interesting if these missions were unique to one another and that you are meant to make them look like accidents as to not draw attention to the rebellion for retaliation
the convoy missions in far cry 2 were one of the highlights of that game you could be as stategic as you liked when setting them up because they reveal to you the route the convoy takes so you could take your time to prepare or you could just go at them guns blazing with no plan i would like to see more missions with this sort of set up
One of the most exciting things is to act like a saboteur in the game.
In the area filled with enemies.
For example, to snatch a person with useful information.
Stealthily, without making noise.
In the open world.
His information should be valuable for us.
Game should avoid alogisms.
If we do something - we should know why we are doing this, for what reason.
But not doing for the sake of doing.
Everything should be arranged into a logical chain.
Story - events - missions - our actions.....
To be honest, I completely forgot FC2 had side activities like convoys. Most of what I remember from it was chasing diamonds with my beeping scanner.
I d like a good side activity in the same vein, forcing you to search in an area for a special weapon or attachment. Could be hidden in a depot etc. Would make missions more endearing.
Developers, don't forget - in the night people see worse! Enemies as well.
In the night - people mostly sleep. Enemies also, replacing each other.
Night outpost liberation should have its advantage.
Using flashlight we're like glowing target in the darkness.
We're more visible and vulnerable for detection.
Moreover, when it rains local people try to hide, as usual.
But not sleeping under the rain like in AC Odyssey.
I think such nature phenomenons as night and rain must be accompanied by appropriate behavior of people. And animals.
Developers, people don't like REPETITIVENESS!
They don't like doing the same thing again and again.
Whatever side missions are - they shouldn't be repetitive.
Even if they repeat each other they should be non-repetitive in their repetitiveness. They should be diverse in their repitition.
The most awful is mechanic generation of the same missions.
(Like it was in AC Odyssey, for example - kill the sharks! Kill the pirates!)
It can also be said about games and missions....
