not tryna hate on you, just wondering why you would want to get the best gear just to do regular activities?
I have actually never done a legendary with randoms, it has always been with my clan or working my *** off to try and get it done solo. But I do recall the feeling of completing my first one. You definitely do have a point. Also, I didn't know they added matchmaking for raids now? Hmmm...

But I am also basing my opinion on past experiences. Honestly, I have only matchmaked maybe 2 times and the first time it sent me to the wrong mission so I left. And my experience with raiding, has maybe been like 1-3 hours and it was kind of annoying. I understand they take time, patience, dedication and an ego and/or mindset that you can put aside and listen to the more experienced players. I am all good with that (typically how I play anyways, unless someone asks for advice) but my times in Dark Hours just did not go smoothly at all. I've actually never even received a drop or cache or anything- if that is any indication of how it went after maybe 3 hours.

Do I get bored with the regular game, sure at times but I try to set goals for myself to keep from getting bored. Main one is achieving 1st place on clan leaderboard every week since I've been in this clan, which sometimes requires me to hit into the 100 Million CXP. (About 46 members and I've been in almost 3 months) Which is a goal that I have never lost. "hmm I wonder if they regret letting me join?" Haha

Thanks for the lengthy reply by the way.

So you don't want to raid yet if your tempted to pay for one you have to be in a raid so someone can share it. Can you see the irony here?

I didn't quite get your response and was like, "they once offered it for money? Hmm maybe before I started playing" But I'm pretty sure you are talking about the level 30 cap, then a boost to 40. But I thought they made it so someone could bump up their exotics to level 40 if they had gotten them at 30...? No? Ehhh, anyways. I hadn't thought about them bumping it up again, good point.

I'm sorry, but this way of splitting the playerbase is one of the stupidest things the Devs could have ever done in this game. Whether it's exclusive DZ drops, or raid-only items, the idea that holding these things hostage is going to somehow magically increase participation is deeply flawed. And even if it works, it's only creating a situation where players are not having fun while doing it. And the second they get the drop, they never return to that game mode.

The entire concept of locking items to specific game-modes needs to be scrapped. Make it more likely to get from some missions, like targeted loot. But stop with the exclusive ********. Let people play how they enjoy, not how the feel coerced to.
Dooood, that was very intelligently written, unlike my spelling of dooood. No but really, very good point and thank you for your input, I really appreciate it when other players put something into their messages.

First off, jesus lose the hostility, haha. I asked for a "discussion", not an argument or something that could instigate one.

Secondly, if you are going to try and throwdown some intensity could you please proofread what you wrote because I only understand half of your message.

I thought, at the beginning you were trying to be a tough a$$ and then confusion and then OK I got it regarding finding a clan and then it seems you flipped and are now on the solo player's side and then saying no we can't have or get the exclusive exotics and then slightly confused.

My reply to this is not meant as a cutdown because I got slightly defensive at first but I honestly had no solid direction/idea where you were heading to and where your point was. Regardless, thanks for trying to bring something to the table. (Not sarcasm)

Disclaimer-this response is in no way, shape or form meant to come off as being, snippy, snoody or smartasstic (new word- smart a$$ & sarcastic).

You are correct, maybe I do not need the Beagle Bear (it is sometimes too difficult for me to not play around with the name) but if we get technical, maybe I don't need the "Big Horn" and 95% of the other exotics and I could just use the stoner lmg like I did for 90% of the "?Beforegame? (Opposite of endgame). I really did use the stoner that much. Regardless, part of the fun is having a wide range/variety of different tools to use at my disposal. Hell, I am over SHD level 1200 and I barely started using assault rifles at SHD 1150. (Never really touched shottys or smgs). Wait where was i...? Sorry it's my 2nd gaming all nighter since Monday. Uhhh. Ummm. Ah yes, here we are- pumpkins are the color orange because of.... oops wrong topic. Haha apologies, I am loopy.

You could say, well don't you have enough variety by now, what is the difference in obtaining another 3 weapons? Fair point good sir... but it is also the principal of not locking something down to where only a select player base can or is willing to obtain it. Definitely don't make it easy, hell no, please no. But there are plenty of other ways that they could make this work for everyone's enjoyment. And it is also not necessarily about being "bothered" to play raid- I touched on this topic in one of my other replies, so I won't force you to read that book that I have written.

P.S. Nice work on breaking out the calculator regarding my hours played -to- hours owning the game ratio.

Knowing that the Eagle Bearer is unobtainable for me, I think there should be another way to get this elusive weapon. I'd recommend being able to complete a legendary solo (but it is not guaranteed, similar to the Big Horn) but I don't see that happening so... options are limited.

Now I'm sure I will receive replies saying thing like:
    -"Well than deal with it"
-"That's like paying to win" (even though it is clearly not)
    -"Stop being a wuss"
And I could continue on and on and on.

I am just trying to generate some other thought processes and great a discussion (not an argument) and maybe someone at Massive will take an interest.

Lastly, I am not willing to pay $70-$349 for a boosting website, anyone game?
I would suggest you to make a skill build and just matchmake for Legendary difficulty, for me mostly it was Roosevelt Island or Union District and after n - runs i think you will get what you want.

Yep, that was pretty much my point. Massive never offered the item for sale, but many an EB changed hands for real money and there were several 'services' to carry people in raids until an EB was available to be passed on. I don't agree with that sort of thing though . You are able to upgrade an EB now but you couldn't for a long while.

Very good catch mister agent man. But I guess part of me was wondering if there is a way...kinda like those boosting.com sites. You give them your info and depending on how much you fork over, you will either end up with the Bagle Bunny or not. But regarding NOT using one of those services either cross your fingers and be partially ignorant to the fact that your stuff/profile could get jacked or messed with or make sure that you do not have any credit card info and anything too personal besides info like an email address connected to your profile. Also I think there is a function where you can basically have someone play under your login etcetera and you can watch/stream and be witness to what is happening - although that part is yet to be completely figured out on my end (I've just heard of it being done).

    But seriously, really good observation.

Don't you have any shop window to destroy with your friends? time would be better spent than staying here making this non-constructive posts.
