Light attacks ruin any chance of using heavy combos (re post with added comments)

You devs have turned this game from a strategic fighting game with unique characters having their own style to just a button mashing, light spamming, no strategy joke. Majority of people just use the new hero and use the un-reactable lights to win. All they do is bash light light or... area top light side light... or you'll go against 4 warmongers then get hit with corruption and die instantly... light spamming is now worse than ever before because light attacks went from having to react quickly to deal with them to now having to literally guess every attack your opponent is gonna throw... defense has completely been removed from the game and now all it has turned into is button mashing with a pay to win hero to win... you guys nerved all the high skill ceiling heroes like musha, orochi, conq... etc just because you give in to people who dont want to take the time to learn how to strategize against these characters and who cant take the time to go to training and learn how to block light attacks.... im overal rep 60 and I could block 70 percent of light attacks from these so called... light spamming characters that these pathetic players complain about to the point where you make mushas lights as slow as they are and then you turn his heavys into 900ms? With those two little tiny swords and no armor? For you people who complain about orochi light spam and aramusha light spam the problem is that you just never take the time to learn how to block attacks because you're lazy.. I can block 70 percent of it because i took the time to practice it... before this update. However now you guys have made these characters useless and have now just buffed the already top tier characters into just button mashing to win... I honestly hope you lose a large percentage of your player base to teach you a lesson that you should value those players that have been with you for so long. I truly feel sorry for those people who have put so much work into these high skill ceiling characters who have just been nerved to the ground and are now useless... instead you are now forced to play characters such as the new hero or any of the general high tier characters but I dont want to just mash buttons to win... there's absolutely no fun in that. I have lost all my respect for these developers and this game because of this. This is a disgrace and spits right in the face of such a large percentage of veteran players. Im this close to uninstalling rn because I can't enjoy the game anymore because every match is the same thing... just guessing for light attack spam and not being able to deal with it. You devs should honestly be ashamed with this update. I'll write 10 more of these if that is what it takes for you to actually pay attention to what your community says and what your community wants. You've made everything now just about who can spam the most attacks with these heroes. Such a slap in the face to veteran players its a joke.

ADDED COMMENT TO THE "Shut up with light spam"

Im telling you that I've been able to block 70 percent of the fastest light attack characters ( orochi, shaman, conq, etc..) and after this update light attacks are nearly impossible to block because now you have to literally guess where to block because they are technically now 400 ms.. y'all should know on console there tends to be bad delay already if you are on controller so add that to the ridiculous 400ms lights and you're not gonna be able to block it unless your guard is already on the side your opponent is going to with these sped up light attacks. If they were going to turn this game into all prediction for defense then they should have done that at the beginning of the release its ridiculous that veteran players are being forced to change characters on these ridiculous nerfs and forced to mash buttons because theres no longer any defensive play in the game all because of people smashing the light button. I'd destroy people who did that before this update all day because I was able to block and parry lights but now light spamming is more reliable due to the fact of how difficult it is to block now on CONSOLE. Every time I throw a heavy without hyper armor in big game modes or even duels/brawls against the typical characters like the new hero or shamen or black prior... etc. They just throw lights to interrupt it.. now before the update I could bait this into a light parry 60 percent of the time but now that they are so unreactable I have a hard time just blocking it let alone parrying it. Put the game back the way it was because you've literally turned this into button mashing fest. I wouldn't see what the big deal would be anyway... lights weren't the easiest to react to before but if you put the time in and practiced it you could block 70 percent of them before the update and you could even parry them a good amount too. Thats what this game should be about. It should reward players who actually take the time to practice and get better and strategize instead of handing the win to players just because they mash buttons and use broken feats or use certain heroes.... you guys cant just throw away defense in this game just because people dont take the time to create their own strategies and openings... thats what separates button mashers from good players. Having lights that are difficult but possible to react to with practice is what the game should be like because when you have two good players that can react it forces them to use other strategies to open eachother up... like feints, mixups, heavy attacks etc... however yall have made lights so reliable now that nobody is doing that anymore because it leaves no incentive to do that when you know your opponent is only gonna be able to block 20 percent of your lights.... fix this problem ubisoft and wake up... this is the kind of critical thinking you as developers should be doing but instead you have your player base doing it for you and telling you the obvious... its time for a change. Wake up.

Why do you think they added a pay to win character? Why do you think they're shifting the game from reaction based to guessing/prediction? They can't react like the pros can so they'd rather turn the game into a Rock, Paper, Scissors and spam fest. They want to mash buttons mindlessly and win.

Just look at the first round of this video and it will show you everything that's wrong with the new update.

I agree, I came back to this game about 2 seasons ago after not playing since release (mainly stopped playing because of the Peer2peer netcode).
Me and my friends fell in love with the game, basically been playing it every day this summer. I got myself the Marching Fire exp, bought 2 battle passes, cause "This I'm gonna stick with for a while"

Enter the CCU... I could see when reading about it what they want, but at the same time, I don't see it in practice at all.
Let's take a look at a popular fighting game, Tekken 7. Not even Tekken 7 have this amount guessing, and that game have alot of mixups and 50/50s. But then again, Tekken have have usually 2 options defensively to alot of mixups, either you block low, or you block high, and in some cases you even have the option to sidestep, while some specific characters can counter with a reversal, or even hit them out of it, cause it wasn't a REAL mixup to begin with..
But all those mixups usually have a SETUP to get into them, you can't just throw them out of nowhere, you gotta set up your opponent to be in a certain frame disadvantage, which you get only if you manage to make them block a certain attack that comes during a string or chain, or even at wakeup after enemy get downed.
    Back to For Honor
The PRE CCU patch had most of this mentioned above in For Honors own unique way, the only issue was that the easy answer to negating all these mixups was to parry everything, so your enemy could never really get into the mixup to begin with, and the answer to counter getting parried, for many, is bashes, which in most cases can be countered by dodging at the RIGHT timing, but then you add in the option of canceling that bash or delaying/charging it up, then it becomes a mixup, it is a mixup that work against those that know they can dodge the bash. I feel like I've dug myself into a corner by trying to explain how mixups work...

Point is, CCU have now made For Honor a 100% mixup game, and I do not enjoy it.
What I mean by this is, even the most basic jab (light attack) feel like a mixup even when they didn't do anything prior to that attack like fainting first, which is what faints was made for in the first place.

I feel like what they should have done instead of making light starters so fast they are impossible to react to without having godlike reactions, make Feints actually work properly like what they are supposed to, in PRE CCU as a good reaction player you didn't have to worry about faints, just wait for them to faint, or parry if they don't faint, it didn't work as the mixup it was supposed to be, the CCU actually made faints better, but for some reason at the same time it broke the amazing feeling of being able to defend yourself against everything else thrown your way without throwing the dice.

For me personally, this patch have made this game into a chore for me, I rather go to a casino if I wanna gamble.

BTW, all characters with Armor moves are now top tier cause they can ignore so many mixups and just power through em, prove me wrong.. :P

Sorry, I didn't intend this to become such a long post, I hope you can make more sense of it than I did when writing it.
