The 100ms Hidden Indicator Only Tackles PC Problems And Negatively Impacts Consoles

The 100ms hidden indicator change from the CCU is a highly targetted and frankly quite biased change. I can almost guarantee that the vast majority of the people who wanted/like this change are PC players, for so long they've been asking for a change to improve offense because the game is so defense oriented due to high frame rates and easy reaction times. Well the fact is consoles haven't really had this problem because due to the lower frame rates, attacks are actually more effective, while most PC players discard the idea of playing the game on anything less that 60+ fps we've been playing an enjoyable mostly offensive based game for the last couple of years which has now been taken away from us, and that's not to mention consoles have a larger player count (at least to my knowledge, please correct me if I'm wrong), so why is the game being balanced for them to the disadvantage of console. Not once in my 2000+ hours of playing this game have I ever genuinely thought the game had a light spam issue, but as of this update console For Honor has devolved to basically nothing but constant prediction dodges and button mashing, and I can't even imagine how annoying the game would be at first for a new player. But frame advantage is a thing now, so what were just gonna take turns mashing and dodging is that what we're expected to do now, and that's not even mentioning 4v4 modes where frame advantage may mean absolutely nothing. The intelligence of this game on console has gone out the window and the lines between the skilled players and the unskilled has been blurred considerably. While I hate to see any part of the community, in this case PC players, disadvantaged in any way you cannot update a game with only one portion of the player base in mind. A different solution to the PC defense meta will need to be found if console For Honor is to remain enjoyable and I'm not alone in this opinion.

At this stage what I think would be the best way to solve this issue without adjusting attack speed would be to make light and heavy attacks indistinguishable on reaction so that parrying lights is riskier at higher levels of play on both PC and console, requiring a read to parry the light over the heavy rather than a reaction. This makes the most sense since that is now the case on PC post CCU, while lights still remain reactable by themselves and therefore not as frustrating. Removing the white parry flash altogether (and maybe some minor animation tweaking) could possibly accomplish both this problem and feint believability without increasing speed for example.

Well said. The game was far from perfect but I could deal with the framerate issues and lag. Now it's completely unplayable. On top of that we have to deal with these insanely broken Warmonger feats in dominion. Please bring our game back. I've been playing since release and I've never complained until now. This update has destroyed console gameplay.
