Suggestions for Dark Hours Raid Preparation

I’m a solo PVE player in general, but the allure of the Eagle Bearer has gotten to be too much.

So, what do I need to do to to be a decent raid member?

    Build?
I’ve got true patriot, ongoing directives, and future eclipse builds that can easily stand up to challenging difficulty. Plus some general brand set builds that are focused on balance between armour and weapon damage.

My true patriot build could possibly even stand up to heroic with some more tuning. But while those builds make me able to survive, my weapon damage takes a hit...

So do people expect full red builds with crit hit and crit damage? Even if survivability is sacrificed?

    LFG?
What’s the best way to find a group? I’m guessing an lfg website.

    Eagle Bearer?
How tough is it to pull? If a group member was to get it, can they gift it to me? If I have one gifted to me will I be able to buy the blueprint and reconfigure/ craft it at the crafting bench?

Can I just pay someone to carry me and gift me the EB?

    Cheers!

Darkhours is not that hard anymore, however it is true armor is worthless in Darkhours, as all 4 bosses are DPS checks, and require hard DPS to survive.
boomer needs hard dps to go past the phases nice and fast, and ads are constantly spawning infinitely,
Weasel, the longer he is alive the harder it'll get as snipers will continue spawning and ads too so the boss must die as fast as possible.
Buddy and lucy are itteraly just pure DPS, DPS hard and control the team's DPS
Razorback has an important DPS check, as this will wipe you if failed,

if your DPS set can kill 2 elite soldiers on heroic difficulty (1 or 2 man average) in less than 30 seconds your DPS will be optimized for any encounter you might have to deal with.

Patriot i'm afraid is useless for anything Group based, due to most buffs not being noticeable or working (healing doesn't work for allies)
Ongoing is to low DPS, specialy since bosses have WAY to much hp for bleed to do any damage, also boss 3 and 4 are mechanical.

Eclipse can be usefull, but only on an experienced hard DPS team, that can carry your DPS while you do full on Crowd control with Fire and stinger.
you'll be useless on the bosses themselfs tho.

but yeah, in short armor i'm afraid is useless in darkhours, armor plays an important role for a tank in Ironhorse, but not darkhours as its DPS orientated

Cheers, I guess I’ll go with a 5x red crit hit/ dmg + tardigrade build.

Oh, what about a Striker build? Is that useful at all for adding DPS on the bosses? Or are the stacks too hard to accumulate?

Imo unless you got some kind of Robotic aim, using striker is rediciously hard as AI are so spassy and jump and roll constantly with inhuman movement,
that due to the "nerf" they did to striker the stacks just drop like mad, you're better off using Obliterate as a talent than striker it'll give you much more Bang for your effort,

Tardigrade isn't to bad, just keep a spare red build piece with you just incase the DPS of your team lacks, as the chest piece usually is the hardest DPS talent on a DPS set

Your ideal DPS buld for the first raid if you have never done it before.
    3-piece Providence
    Petrov Contractor's Gloves (Petrov = 10% LMG)
Overlord Fox's Prayer kneepads (Overlord = 10% Rifle)
Ceska holster (Ceska = 10% Crit Chance)

Gear pieces... You should have as many reds (attributes and mods) as possible. Max your Crit Hit Chance (CHC) to 60% if possible, and then stack Crit Hit Damage (CHD) -- optimal CHD is >100%. Backpack talent should be Vigilance or Composure (whichever works best for you), and preferred chestpiece talent is Unbreakable (Intimidate is next, followed by Focus). Bring any specialization that will allow you to take down warhounds and tanky yellow-bar enemies quickly, with the perks spec'd to rifle and LMG damage (important).

Weapons... At least for now , Baker's Dozen and M1A are the strongest rifle options, and an LMG (preferably with % damage to targets out of cover and damage to armor) is an excellent secondary option. Reviver hive, Fixer drone or Reinforcer chem launcher are essential to survivability (even if you don't end up needing them yourself). This is just a template and is flexible in some areas (especially as you get more skilled in the raid), however, keep in mind that you must be able to take down elites quickly. Ad control in L40 Dark Hours is essential, and if this is lacking, this can easily lead to wipes.

You know that the game you choose to buy and play is multiplayer online game right?? Then why on earth you are playing solo ?? If you want solo games there are plenty out there !!! Stop being for ever alone and get your self into a clan and go to raids legendary missions and Morton content that will make your life easier as being part of a group !!! And no you need full damage build and when I say full I mean every part of your gear has to be critical it chance and critical hit damage and weapon damage, with the combination of 3 providence contractors gloves fox prayers knee pads and 1 more dps brand of your desire

    1. RavennesVR is spot on. I consistently see people that can't kill the 2 elite adds that spawn at the start of Razor, yet are the last standing when we wipe.

    2. Don't pay a penny for a gun that will mostly sit in your stash.

    3. The original TU8 DH meta still works fine. Also good Walker and shotgun builds but my Providence build is near max so I stick with it.

    - Prov mask, chest, and backpack.

    - Contractors gloves. Foxes Prayer knees.

    - Groupo or Ceska holster depending on if you need more chance or damage.

Talents: I've always run perfect glass cannon and Vigalence, but have been running spotter recently with In Sync on a good M1A and AR. Pulse and shield for my skills, since both proc In Sync.

In a poor group, I run reviver hive and healing drone, and obliterate on my chest.

That's my Razor build. Other high damage builds (Intimidate/adrenaline rush) do well on Boomer and Buddy/Lucy since you are so close to them.

With Iron Horse out, I don't have the loadout space for multiple DH builds, so I stick with the Providence build and change my chest as needed.

    Thanks for all the feedback!
Especially the skills to use - I forgot to ask about them. And the talents for backpack/ chest pieces.

I’ll start working on a full red build then.

    Cheers!
