Rpg - Role play game, this usually refers to games such as World of Warcraft, FInal Fantasy, Guild Wars 2 and others i can't think of.
It would mean effects and abilities aren't simple and they always have a catch and a bonus.
Ill give my example.
Fury
-Activating "Fury" send your character into a killing frenzy, increasing agility and strength
-(Fury) - "Fury" lasts, 15 seconds, increasing by one second for each hit successfully dealing damage to an opponent.
-(Fury) - While "Fury" is active, damage is increased by 20%, increasing by 5% for each hit successfully dealing damage
can stack up to 80%.
-(Fury) - While "Fury" is active, you heal for 1 health every second, dealing damage heals you for 5% of your total health
-(Fury) - Activating "Fury" increases your total health by 50%, draining 3% each second.
-(Fury) - While "Fury" is active you gain a stacking buff increasing your movement speed by 0.2M/s every second, taking damage will
reset this buff but instead give you revenge equal to 200% of it.
-(Fury Passive) - Successfully executing an opponent bloodies your weapon making it inflict up to 50% of its damage over 4 seconds
(Lights - 50% damage over 4 seconds) (Heavies - 25% damage over 4 seconds)
-Cooldown is 120 seconds.
Now these numbers are completely insane and might need serious tuning to get implemented but i am really curious to see what you guys can come up with.
also i didn't specify how some auras/buffs animations would look as it would just fill the example even more than it already is without any real purpose.
