    Possible Glass Cannon rework

I think Glass Cannon deserves a little love. There are multiple talents that give amplified damage while requiring no drawbacks for the extra damage. Meanwhile Glass Cannon requires you to take double the damage of the extra damage you do. I suggest that maybe instead of double maybe only take the same damage as you deal. Ex: 25% amplified damage but have to take 25% damage as well instead of 50%.

Agree,i think Is too much punitive.

25% damage do and 25% take.

    30/30 for perfect glass.

When you use spotter you have 15% damage and no malus , why glass cannon has only 10% more damage and 50% malus? It's not Fair🙂

I think the advantage of the glass cannon is that it increases the difficulty of the game...for those who like to climb the rankings... to use.

Look at the configuration selected by the player below, the vest increases the damage by TWD 40%, and only occasionally special weapons are fired for 0.1 seconds every minute.
Why do you need to choose a glass cannon, for 25% of the damage? 30%?, you will suffer an extra 50%~60% of the damage.

And the configuration in that link, the real maximum damage per second (DPM including reload time) can reach 10 million per second.
And can you reach 5 million damage per minute after sacrificing so much?

So I think most of the players who choose this glass cannon are to increase their own game difficulty, seeking excitement and challenge.

Below I use GOOGLE to translate part of the content.

    https://forum.gamer.com.tw/Co.php?bsn=24460&sn=103324

This configuration is full of stacks, and the maximum dot is 1.15 million (you can use the general fate of guard, if better, you should choose the backpack Petrov series)

Use the vanguard vest to directly multiply 40% of the total weapon damage (triggered by the special weapon of the heavy machine gunner with a burst)

The benefit lasts for a long time (one minute), the multiplier is higher than the general intimidation, there is no need to use glass cannons, and there are no distance restrictions or other trigger conditions.

The highest damage hit (5m headshot), the dps is around 5.5 million, and the hit body is at 3.8 million (my secondary attribute chooses the critical strike)

With a full stack of buf, the damage per second ranges from 5 million to 6.65 million.

Ninja Kneepads are chosen to reduce the time to change the bomb, because the plague shooting time is about 10 seconds to empty the magazine (selecting the heavy machine gunner profession can speed up this speed slightly)

But it takes 5.1 seconds to change the bomb (only watch bonus)

    (10 seconds X damage per second + 5 seconds X 0 damage) / 15 = DPM? (Continuous output) Shrinked by 33%.

At least 3 to 4 seconds of reload time can be reduced, and if used well, it is equivalent to an increase of 1.36 times the damage.
[A piece of equipment can increase the actual damage by 35% for a long time, which is a good investment] With the

plague stacking effect, the more enemies on the field, the longer the battle time. Assuming that the effect of the plague does not overlap:
your DPS every 5 seconds Theoretically, it will rise by 1.15 million. If the reload time approaches 0, 20 seconds later.
Probably the total output of a lot of BD . (The real continuous output breaks 10 million per second )
It also adds 25% of the armor a little bit. I heard that this blue armor can protect the vigilance effect and is not easy to be destroyed.

In addition, the layered effect of the plague, the light machine gun and the pioneer, the configuration is not inclined to burst damage, for continuous output, so I choose ninja knee pads.

Ya this has less to do with the Pesty DoT build and more about balancing a talent. A lot of people just want to play the builds they have made and enjoyed. The reason we keep seeing nerfs and buffs has already been mentioned by the devs as a way to give more build diversity.
If people want a challenge that requires them to take more damage or some other crazy handicaps they can easily just equip some purples. There’s no place in gaming that makes sense to have a talent in your gear where it’s only job is to make things harder. So no offense but that doesn’t really scan all that well.

On the bright side, thanks for showing me a nice build. Will definitely be giving it a shot.

What I really show you is that if you don’t use a glass cannon, you won’t necessarily lose the "use glass cannon" configuration.
Using this method for me, if you are just a player who likes to hit the body, obviously there is a stronger style of play that will not make your body vulnerable.

In terms of the strength and weakness of the vest I know:
Focus on 60% (takes time and troublesome operations)>Striker's Battlegear (if your hit rate is extremely high), Aces & Eights (50%&you like to shoot the head with a sniper)>Tip of the Spear(40%)>Intimidate( 35%? You like to play close range with a little blue armor)> Glass Cannon (30%?), you like higher instant damage, or to use skills after hiding, or to challenge difficult games.

    other:
Negotiator's Dilemma: You want to fight many enemies at the same time.
Headhunter Perfect Headhunter: You love to kill enemies with a single shot.

I don't deny that things have room for adjustment, but this talent that is obviously biased towards the use of skills (increased damage in all categories), many skills can be used in hiding, strengthening it will cause difficulties in balance.
Tower defense is now at a high position.

When many people talk, they will induce others to give incomplete information. (Even I am not an exception)

So you use tower defense to play the game, the real bonus is weapon damage +30%, skill damage +30%, and you take damage from the enemy +60%.

Unfortunately to get a lot of the bonuses from gearsets you have to give up sometimes half of your minor attributes so there is somewhat of a balance to the extra damage from those sets.

As far as what you called tower defense, people already using this aren’t all of a sudden going to be running around out of cover because they take less damage from one talent. The tower defense meta has more to do with the amount of skill damage we can stack regardless of glass cannon. Take GC away from those builds and they can just as easily fall back on kinetic momentum, spotter, and even over watch all while stacking as much skill damage as their hearts desire on every piece of gear.

Skills being OP are another over reaction typical of massive. People say rifles are too powerful and they nerf them heavily so people can have fun with ARs. People since vanilla have been wanting skill builds to be viable so they buffed skills and the places where we can get skill damage so much that even without GC people can skate through content just hiding behind cover.

All my post mentioned was maybe GC can get some love so it isn’t so punishing but still have drawbacks to running it.

Meanwhile you seem to have missed maybe what should be obvious which is that even if they reduce the damage taken from GC people will still be hiding in cover with skills. You also seem to be stuck in PvE and my suggestion has some merit in PvP as well.

If this doesn’t suit you then let’s just agree to disagree because neither of us are on Massive’s payroll and won’t have the final say so in that decision. If this was reddit then we could keep the convo going but this is the forum dedicated for Massive to see and think about.

On the bright side thanks for that DoT build because I’ll definitely be looking at it. Cheers agent.

    Synchronous damage (In syn?)

There is this talent on the weapon, it is almost the most popular talent for skill users, so they will still try to show up for this BUFF.

Like your suggestion for discussing PVP: If you cut to 50%>25% and take damage, the configuration of firepower and skills will be greatly enhanced.

Players only need one attack skill and another 3 to 6 level healing skill to fill 25% of the negative effects.

He can get 30 (40%) weapon damage and skill damage, multiplied by 25% (30%) of total weapon damage and total skill damage.

Is 30% weapon damage permanent at this stage already the strongest weapon talent?

If it is a requirement to establish a new firepower & skill status, it can be done.....

Kinetic momentum, it takes time to stack to the highest damage 15sec?

Spotter: usually acts on the probe. Scanning is less effective in pvp. Pve such as nerf can't cause 15% x2 benefits.

Unless there is another cut or design for skill damage and weapon damage. Otherwise, it seems that it is not so appropriate to put the pvp change directly.

    Anyway. Cheers agent.

I kind of agree with the main theme of the post. As someone who runs Perfect GC 85%+ of the time, I think you have a point. I run it for the DPS, NOT to make the game harder for myself. I see you're point about there being other options out there now with Intimidate and Spotter. I think if you either nerfed Intimidate/Spotter, or buffed only the strength of GC, it would be what it is supposed to be. Those other 2 talents are getting too close without the risk associated.I don't think you can buff the damage you take, it's pretty severe already.

Leave this talent as it is, a lot of people are still running it. It gives a lot of damage buff and the point is not to be tanky. Now you must choose between "a lot with drawbacks" or "some without any drawbacks". 25% increase of both damage dealt and taken will make it meta.
