I can agree with shugoki but the fast lights is not rly true as long as you watch the animation
it's an easy parry or block. (including every character...) you'll get used to it at some point
heck i'm still getting used to it myself.
Shugoki does need the HA stripped from his lights thats for sure.
Is it weird that we all agree for once?Originally Posted by garr1999 Go to original post

Anyways, yeah, it just takes a hot minute to get used to, but things aren't faster. If anything, things are slower.
I'm light parrying almost double and hitting with almost double my heavy attacks. It's awesome. The mind games are going to return, especially with tweaks to the CCU.
The first tweak is already confirmed for next week lol.
this is where the importance of grammar comes in. I said 'faster' not faster.
But if we go down the science route, removing the indicator for the first 100ms does delay your reaction time no matter how good you are. I would estimate that the removal of the of the indicator makes your reaction equivalent to as if the lights were anywhere between 33-100ms faster depending. This patch did realistically speed up lights but it varies from person to person how much it was.
Except on console, where lag/latency has always kept us at a disadvantage compared to pc, the compensation is causing everything to be more consistent, and so I feel like I have GAINED reaction time. See? For me, things just feel slowed down.Originally Posted by CanadianSoupMan Go to original post
That isn't how that works at allOriginally Posted by MrBdur Go to original post
Lag/latency was causing me to not see full animations/timings etc. This means I have always played at a disadvantage, as opposed to PC players, who see more consistently.Originally Posted by CanadianSoupMan Go to original post
Now, with compensation, I see more, so even though there is less visually, I feel like I actually have bigger windows to respond.
But, in reality, they slowed stuff down. Like, literally, in the patch notes, it says all the things that they slowed down. Removing the first 100ms of an indicator is not speeding anything up, but limiting your ability to "react" as efficiently.
What I'm trying to explain, is because of lag/latency issues, I have always had timing issues based on animations or whatever, and now that I don't, things feel slower to me.
