Before I redownload, I must confirm something I could not verify myself.
There is a simple new rule: light finishers are frame disadvantaged, light finishers are frame advantaged.
On paper, Peacekeeper has only 3 heavy finishers, all chains end with a heavy. In practice, succesful heavies are chained into deep gouge: a guaranteed light attack.
Does that mean pk always has frame disadvantage?
Her Dagger Cancel has frame disadvantage, which I felt was unnecessary. That change is best for actual light finishers and not a soft feint that comes from one direction. She needs more flow not less.Originally Posted by Goat_of_Vermund Go to original post
I am actually fine with Dagger Cancel having disadvantage. Zone is also fine, though now it definetely should give a heavy parry punish only. I am not even bothered with her damage, it actually looks like quite high now (I only watched a Kenzo duel though, but her Stab and Heavy attacks melt HP on success).
However, if Deep Gouge does not have frame advantage, I will be extremely dissapointed. Because that would mean that all of her succesful attacks have frame disadvantage, even the heavies (you obviously have to use deep gouge in optimal gameplay, that is not optional).
Dagger cancel has 700ms of recovery. meaning you can't take advantage of her bleed after using it because the opponent is always going to land their attack first. It feels very clunky. Thankfully her triple stab and deep gouge do not follow suit with dagger cancel. She still retains frame advantage in those situations. I feel like they decided to make her dagger cancel this way because of "oppressive spam" with her enhanced 400ms lights. Which I disagree with. Shaman's exact same situation as PK but better in every aspect.
