Up until level 30 I found this game really hard. Enemies that were three or four levels lower than me were regularly kicking my arse and the bosses were stupid hard. I could shoot them in the head hundreds of times and barely hurt them and they'd just walk up to me and kill me with one burst!. There were no gold and hardly any purple weapons/armour to be seen and I couldn't afford to buy many either. I never had more than c120000 before level 30, most of the stuff I was using was mostly blue and green! Then after 30 everything changed. Every drop was a gold or purple and my weapons and armour all doubled in strength in one level! My armour went from around the 500s to about 1400. Bosses became incredibly easy, I once killed one with a single magazine! It's also really easy to earn credits now, I made about c300000 in a couple of hours! I'm not criticizing the game, (it's really good) but it just seems like the difficulty is out of whack. Is this a normal experience or is it just mine?https://19216811.cam/ https://1921681001.id/ https://jpgtopdf.onl/
When TD1 was first released, it got harder at the end game. But, it was slowly eased back to where now, at free roam it is easy. Of course, you can still choose difficulty levels for missions. You have continued to level up the world Tiers right? TD2 does this automatically (and irreversibly), but TD1 is manual. That was my last straw on TD2. I wanted to finish some things before the "Invaded" stuff happened. But nope, it went up on its own after I did certain missions.
Anyway, if you are running at WT5 and the game is still too easy, the play missions and incursions at higher difficulties. I don't know of anyone that can truthfully say soloing missions on Legendary, or Falcon Lost on Heroic is easy (that is the only incursion that I am positive it is possible to solo).
BTW, a lot of people, including me generally, won't respond to posts with spam links. The exception might be to YouTube, especially from new forum members. I was just bored that day so I thought WTH, why not in the off chance this person is legit. I'd still suggest removing them if you are a legit player. Only idiots click random links like these, especially ones that are clearly trying to mimic local network address.
Does it get easier after 30? Well, yes and no. Initially, as you fight through the World tiers, and as you fight to get your gear, its a bit rough, but once you get the build all figured out, it does become fairly easy. Plus, after 30 you've gotten many hours of experience in the game, so there is that. Also, also, while leveling, your likely not trying to really make an optimized build, but after 30 you are. Id guess you were just running with w/e you found, so your gear was below your lvl, not optimized, no good rolls, so yeah, you struggled. After 30, everything is lvl 30... Additionally, are you in World TIer 5?
Game does get easier after 30. Though, keep in mind, you have 5 World Tiers to grind through. It gets a bit harder again for a bit, until you get your gear and build together. Then it gets easier again, but you can still get ooof'd in a hurry.Originally Posted by CamdenJayce Go to original post
After playing through this campaign again on my 2nd account, yeah, its reminding me of why the grind sucks.
THe grind from 1-30 through the campaign really is a ****ty slog.
Your agent is just complete trash, your skills are not worth a hoot, your always to broke to buy any gear. Your 100% reliant on w/e drops. Yeah, the experience through the campaign really does suck. Once you get to 30 and get your builds goin' and get WT5 loot, it gets easier because the gap between our agent and the enemies closes a bit. Our abilities and stats actually become useful. Plus the increase in enemy power stops. 1-30, the enemy keeps getting tougher and tougher every lvl, while our gear simply does not and cannot keep up.
If ever there was a huge rebalance patch for this game, I know how id overhaul it. Id start by massively reducing the power increase between lvls. Id buff skills to actually be useful. I mean, 31hp/s from the med box? thats useless. 23 dmg per shot from the turret? lol..... 700 health on the Overdose heal? pppffffttt...... Meanwhile, you run into a yellow bar heavy in the campaign and he basically 3 shots you. Bosses 1 shot you, purple bars 4-5 shot you. Yeah....the game is great once you slog through the 1-30 campaign.
