Cross-Character Cosmetics and Addressing a Create a New Character Issue
After playing Breakpoint for nearly 70+ hours on a single character, I realized that the Raids follow a Destiny format; in which, they reset every week and along with the reset, more opportunities follow to collect a coveted piece of gear/cosmetic that can either come from Raid Chests, or a Boss.
Thinking that the game would have the same progression as Destiny, I made a new character hoping to Raid and collect more loot. Lo and Behold, this character didn't have ANY (except for store bought) cosmetics from my previous character.
This is just one of the few issues that turns people away from making a new character. The only purpose I see for people to make a new character would be to either experience the story again, or to experience the gameplay through the story differently. Both of which don't add any type of replay-ability to the game, primarily because you can simply replay the missions on your original character whenever you wish.
This branches into my other belief that if such a system is added, allow those other characters to be "Fresh" to the Raid. They're their own people after all, and failing to introduce such a system otherwise would end up harming player-activity even more.
Adding a Cross-Character Cosmetic system will not only ecourage players to make more characters, but will also encourage more interactivity from the player-base. More interactivity will draw in more players (both new and old), which will allow for more consistent feedback, and will allow for a closer connection between the Dev Team and the Community as a whole!
