It has got nothing to do with being mysogynistic. It has got everything to do that the ENTIRE group of warmongers are female!
It's one thing that the next leader following in apollyon's steps is a female in the lore, fair enough.
But it's an other thing that the ENTIRE bloody order is one of females. Didn't Apollyon inspire any males to join them??????????????

You made a period joke to a bunch of men [presumptuously] because of a female character added to the game. Really inappropriate and not welcoming at all for any potential ladies on the forum. Your behavior is incredibly terrible over such a ridiculous subject.

The new hero isn't a new hero. It's Apollyon in every sense but name. And the whole stage was set for this. They were not lazy. They didn't suddenly go back on their words. And to be totally honest there's a lot represented in the hero that was asked for in some way or another. I understand that not everyone wanted an Apollyon hero. Well guess what? Not every new released hero appeals to everyone.

This is something that they've never done before and i'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt here and think this was a one off. I fully believe the next hero will be original and not made to be after someone in the game. Also people need to stop with the whole Covid thing. Hero development is done over several months. This wasn't a budget cut. This wasn't them not having access to equipment. They fully intended this character to be this way from the get go.

But this is a playable hero and they said no more gender locking...people have been waiting well over a year for a new knight. While gender lock is not a big deal for some, it is to others. And its a huge immersion issue for those that spend so much money and time on their hero of choice. Some guys like myself cant get into a female character because its not a representation of themselves, just like some women cant get into a male character. It wrecks the escape and fantasy.

I know some originals were locked..but at such an early point in the game people were ok with it because there was a whole roster to pick from. At this late point in the game this was probably the LAST knight to ever be released..so to limit it to gender is a massive letdown.

I'm for a male version. First it stands to reason if your going to copy why not just make a male version while your at it so you have the same moveset for two heros. locked gender is kinda like peeing on the bathroom door imo. Astra story telling through the purchased items make no sense. Jorges was straight forward without the fake goose chase of intrigue we were led on.
I'm fine with just the female version. Obviously the community would prefer options. It just makes sense.

This whole thread has turned silly, we are actually wining about something so petty as a genderlock? Seriously?!

We have much bigger things to worry about, such as lack of hero updates ect.
