It's good value if you're paying 50% less than full price. You need to be prepared for a some buggy or annoying issues, but it's fun. Don't plan on getting all the cosmetic items or weapons unless you are prepared to buy gamble-boxes or invest time in several months of daily challenges. I've played a little under 300hrs and have less than half of the gamble-box cosmetics, despite doing challenges for a couple months.

Really haven’t come across many of those.

Is this game worth getting now?

I’ve played this game more than most games in the last 10 years.

It is the best open world game on consoles in my opinion – with regards to absolute player freedom, very few fail states for missions and your leaving the mission area BS.

It has to be the least scripted open world game I’ve played (on consoles).
I think in this game the player is totally respected.
It gives you the objective, gives you the tools, and it allows a variety of approaches, whether that’s stealth, gadgets or guns blazing or a combination — it’s all available to the player, with very little BS or interference.

Is one of the few games that I think can possibly claim that it has true sandbox gameplay.

Most of the missions are highly enjoyable, because the level design is really top-notch, and the world is really well done, beautiful And varied. It has all the biomes that you would want.

I also think part of what is the special sauce about this game I feel, and this is where perhaps divert from perhaps some of the purists here – is that wildlands is really flexible to allow a whole variety of different role plays.

Whether that’s role playing as —

    A Rebel commando
    A Sniper
    Spec Ops
    Splinter cell agent
A grizzled old War veteran out for revenge
    A Texas Ranger gone rogue

    Etc.......

I find Wildlands is really flexible like that, It’s a massive part of the reason why I’m still playing it 3+ years on....

    Check my vids...

This is why you should get it —

The real star of the show is the awesome map of the virtual Bolivia, I really miss it and Im gonna do another play-through.

The enemies are fun, specially when they sing their drunken SANTA , SANTA BLANCAAAAAA song!

The other nice thing is that the entire massive map is open to you from the very start and unlike the irritating system of weapon upgrades in FC New Dawn etc here they are hidden all over the maps in weapon cases. And unless you look online for locations you dont know what you're gonna get. So you can spend such fun looking for the good guns.

The most fun is had when you disable all the hand holding (HUD alerts, x-ray vision, tagging, alert clouds etc) you get a nice tense game. If you dont fancy this then leave them on first time and try turning them off for the 2nd play-through.

    Highly recommend the game, enjoy!

If you are playing on PC, wait until it is 67% sales off. Then, standard edition is only around 20 bucks. Ultimate Edition is 60 or something I'm not too sure.
But even then, you still won't get everything, because Ubisoft has to make money from loot boxes and microtransaction

On sale yes. But I don't think I would have jumped at full price, mainly because of it's age.it should be permanently at the sale price.
Needless to say the game is very good.

Just purchased the game 2 days ago for $14.99. Coming from Breakpoint I can say the storyline and environment alone give you a totally different feeling of immersion. While BP is slightly more refined in player mechanics and aiming, in my opinion, WLs is by far the better investment of my time and money.

Here in Russia I've paid $USD12 for game + 2 DLC

In MAY I've paid $USD6 for main game in EGS shop. And recently $USD6 for 2 dlc in UBISHOP

I've came to Wildlands from Breakpoint too... Ghost Recon Wildlands much better, Only the graphics are worse

I love this game, you need to be patient and plan your missions, at least I do, going in all guns blazing rarely works for me, you have a team of three AI players at your command as well as the rebels. It's a huge game and takes ages to complete but the freedom to do what you want is refreshing after playing linear story line games IMO.
