After playing the free weekend and buying the game. I have finally had a week to play the game ... and I have to say ... where the hell is everything ?
Compared to Wildlands, Breakpoint is so empty, lifeless and boring it beggars belief. Every mission, encounter and base is pretty much identical. There is just nothing on the island. Surely the devs aren't serious ?
Hello Ubisoft ? Are you planning to put ANYTHING else on the island. There has to be more than this ?????
You mean you played this game free for a weekend and still bought the game??You can only put the blame on you not Ubisoft. I don't even feel sorry for you man.
You just had to do one thing and that was to go thru numerous threads in this forum and you would know to never buy this game, anyhow you had a weekend to try it and you still bought the game??
Where did I blame Ubisoft for me buying the game ?Originally Posted by Stenbern Go to original post
Was more pointed at this you can't blame UBisoft fot that when you knew how the game was after tried it or did you think it would come more alive after you bought the game.Originally Posted by POP_King_Delica Go to original post
Nowhere, but why did you buy the game when you knew how bad it was?Originally Posted by POP_King_Delica Go to original post
Errrr ...ok ... your comments have little bearing on the post ... but whatever works for you.Originally Posted by Stenbern Go to original post

So, you're probably not the first person to have felt this way. The good news is you bought the game at a reduced price and not at full price.
I actually like the game and I'm probably in the minority. But, there are a lot of concepts in this game that they've implemented that I wish was in Wildlands and vice versa. I've played the game prior to the immersive experience.
The key differences for me:
Pros:
- Realistic Injuries and consequences for those injuries (being unable to wield primary, limping)
- Better textures and particle effects
- Better looking scenery
- A somewhat bigger map
- Resistance event brought life to a, once, very quiet island (raising their strength increases their presence)
- Episode 2 DLC made the, not-so-strong story into a more interesting one.
- AI teammates have made immersive experience somewhat easier and less lonely
- Gunsmith is pretty good, although, I wish there was more options for attachments
- Terminator live event was pretty cool
Cons:
- The base game story by itself wasn't all that strong (and I liked the story)
- The voice acting didn't exactly match character expressions. But, the voice acting for Nomad was good
- With AI teammates introduced, we don't really get that much of a backstory on our teammates (we didn't really in wildlands either)
- Faction AI prior to the resistance update was non-existent.
- The Raid is very rewarding, but very frustrating as well.
Overall, I feel like Ubisoft tried to appeal to a looter shooter feel in this GR game. While it works very well in The Division 2 (which is actually a pretty good game), I think it doesn't work so much for GR fans who really like the tactical challenges and (somewhat) realism of GR.
The devs have done great work though since launch. They're a small team I think, but they've really improved the game to where it is now. I just hope that they continue supporting and updating the game with new content and more story.
