I think the whole 'quality tied to difficulty' thing needs to go. One set of rules for loot across the whole board. Give specific (or weighted) targeted rewards for higher difficulty content, e.g. let specific bosses drop (a higher chance of) specific loot. Or just more loot.

I think most in here have the DLC.

Hello all, just posting my experience on this.

The loot is exactelly the same as it was 1 month ago. For my account, this is the truth. Been farming with clanmates everyday, for at least 4/5 hours.
We are doing legendary (dailies), and usually DUA or capitol, world on heroic and missions and cp4 with full directives on.
ALL, and i mean every single piece of gear/weapon rolls with 60/70%, full bars (godrolls) are non existing, and yes, i mean NOT a single one.
Regarding mods, i got 3 mods exactelly the same, down to the centesimal (17.256). This alone says alot about RNG. Go ahead and grab a random number generator, set it to 0-20 going to the centesimal, see how many times you get the exact same number.
    Exotics, since update are zero.

I posted every single piece of loot i grabbed on our discord because nobody believed it.

In one of the missions, a clanmate keeps getting 3 god rolled armor pieces, and another one even gets a bullet king from a box, and BTSU gloves from mission reward!!!
This is Massive way to reward players that, like me, play from day 1, coming from TD1, also from day 1.

If anyone doubts it, feel free to come and play in a team with me, i will post all the loot again.

Massive is completely incompetent for this kind of games, the game is trash because of their decisions, and the sad part is, it was an awesome game.
Same story happened with the fake PTS, and been happening since launch.

Sorry for the negative parts of the post, but frustration is massive here, with friends dropping from the game, and the impossability to improve my own gameplay, because the game wont let me.

    Cheers

Totally agree, its dropped. after hours upon hours of playing and NOTHING good is dropping.. for someone who has played 1700 hours + we need something, we need the best gear not this rubbish thats been dropping. I dont expect good gear all the time or even 1 drop per mission BUT we need something, SOMETHING has to keep us going.

But that still wouldnt stop some reporting always getting low rolls and others reporting the opposite.

I didnt partcularly have tooo much trouble getting goodish gear before the update and its largely the same now (maybe a little better compared with the last couple of weeks before update)
But Im fully aware that isnt the same for everyone.
It was like I was seeing more how Massive intends the RNG/system to work for everyone where others were/are always getting the low end of things.
For some reason not everyone seems to be playing by the same set of gear rules.

Nearly every session I play I normally find a couple of pieces worth keeping (which I feel is reasonable reward for the time spent), where others can go months, I dont think that would change even if every level (hard, challenge, heroic) had the same chance to drop everything.

Short of making the chance to drop good gear incredibly high, I cant see any tweaks to % chance, or whatever, changing anything for the people that are still getting trash now.

RNG is RNG is RNG. It feels different for everyone.
Only conclusion I can draw is finally getting a proper optimization, recalibration and crafting station back. As weil as to stop tying specific loot to specific activities. Maybe improving the targeted loot too so you can finally customize your personal mission settings (like "only Kneepads from brand x").
TL;DR time to do a full 1.8 like back in the days.

Its not for a free weekend where they want to try and hook in new people with hey look how great the loot is.
This could make perfect sense to the Devs to resort to those type of underhand tactics (if you buy into that narrative) as the free weekend guy might think, thats good I will buy it, so the little bump did its job
But, again, why would they give you/us less than a week of better stuff just to take it away again, it would be so obvious to the long term player, and would makes no sense at all, as all the complaints would just be magnified.

I think you are seeing RNG at work, some days good, some days bad.
TU10.1 was just a fix for TU10.....as TU10 didn't work as planned....That aside yes it was suppose to let players have a better chance of god rolls but that is not my point of this post, my experience is showing that it seems to be degrading over time and shifting towards more rainbow loot but mainly towards:

    • Skill Tier (Red/Red)
    • Skill Tier (Blue/Blue)
    • Weapon Damage (Yellow/Yellow)
    • Weapon Damage (Blue/Blue)
    • Armor (Yellow/Yellow)

    Etc Etc......

So basically what i am trying to say is that on the 21/07/20 the loot seemed to be very decent then slowly everyday degraded back too TU10.

Same thing happened with TU8....it was great then TU8.5 came out and it all went downhill (no mention in the patch notes regarding loot changes)

As for the free weekends i have never done one, i am only relaying to what i've read, those who played the free weekend got really good loot and decided to buy the game, after the free weekend was over the loot went downhill.....i can't verify this as i didn't play the free weekend.

To be fair though it could be a tactical thing to do as afterall it's a business and needs to earn money even though it will come accross as shifty.

I myself really don't believe RNG has all the control over the loot system.

Again this is my experience and may differ to others.
