Preset loadouts. Do we need them? | Forums

So I’ve been playing this game for awhile now and there’s been one constant irritation. That’s the preset load outs. Sure they are handy if you wanna switch from an up close and personal to a sniper set up but really it’s not hard anyways Without it. All the presets do is lock weapons and gear that can’t even be dismantled unless you have to go through the tedious annoyance of swapping all the gear that was set on a load out to current gear that your wearing that’s what takes the most time. It’s really irritating especially when you don’t even SET the selected gear as a preset in the first place whatever you have on just instantly becomes the default then when you switch it out you can’t dismantle it for some reason because it’s saved to another class that you aren’t even running. I think hundreds of people would agree here Preset load outs are useless and should either be fixed or removed so they don’t automatically lock items that are extremely low gear score especially when you don’t choose to have it saved as preset

I doubt 100s of people even play with gear score. I certainly don’t, do presets are brilliant for changing camo for different environments.

You’re right it is helpful for that but see when you are like a lot of people and like having a clean inventory and scrap weapons you used before but don’t anymore and you just can’t because the game decides to say “nope that’s Selected on a preset and it can’t be dismantled” even though you aren’t using the class that weapon was selected on before or the class you never actually wanted to use but you did it to get it leveled up just because. It’s rather irritating and annoying to have to go to a biv change your current class to whatever ones are selected with that preset weapon or gear change them all up one at a time then go back to your other load out. It’s still just annoying.

I can’t relate as I play on immersive mode with no HUD, super difficulty and no gear score. That’s how I enjoy GR games, play them like they’re real.
