Preface
I really like Ghost Recon Breakpoint, this is my favourite game for now and despite all my love for this game, I believe that it also has drawbacks that I would like to express in this thread.
I would also like to express my gratitude to the forum team. You are very responsive and adequate. The communication work on this forum is really well organized, perhaps not everyone thinks so, especially due to the recent situation with crashes. I think it is worthwhile to understand that the employees directed all their efforts to eliminate the main problems and therefore they simply did not have time or energy to respond to all messages and check all threads.
I would also like to note that, lately, while solving the problem with crashes and forum staff were inactive - many players have expressed their opinion in depth and in detail, put their time, attention, energy into their messages, in the hope that their messages will be taken into account and heard. I really hope that the energy, attention and time that many users of this forum have put into their messages will not go unnoticed.
I do not pretend to be objective in everything that has been said, this is only my personal opinion about what can make the game better, in my understanding of what is - better.
1. Being in the water, the character cannot climb out of the water onto many surfaces, which were originally created to climb on them.
In many places, despite the fact that the surface was suitable in height, there was simply no function - to climb. There are really a lot of such places in the game in a different enemy outposts.
2. Make it possible to unequip belt.
Or at least remove the belt from some outfits with which it is completely incompatible (for example - Fourth Echelon Pants, Third Echelon Top). In my humble opinion, this is the main cosmetic problem in the game at the moment. This topic has been raised many times already and I think it's not necessary to describe in detail the problematic of this in current thread.
Thread with a detailed description and with links to other recent threads about belt - https://forums.ubisoft.com/showthrea...ble-belt-issue
3. Make random events more organic, natural.
I'm talking specifically about Azrael drones and enemy helicopters. You will never see Azrael drone or enemy helicopter flying far away from you. They always fly exactly over you. This makes the game world feel too scripted and not alive.
4. Add the possibility to choose the number of AI teammates.
Many would like to have a covert duo operation with Sam Fisher? Or maybe with Big Boss? Or maybe someone wants to travel the world alone with a beautiful girl, but two men do not allow a romantic couple to retire? I think the main idea is conveyed by this questions.
5. Finally, fix the Third Echelon Top collar to fit snugly around your neck and taller.
The topic has been raised many times, by many players. Thread with a detailed description about this - https://forums.ubisoft.com/showthrea...dear-Balaclava
6. Add the ability to stealthily eliminate drones.
This applies specifically to stealth gameplay. At the moment, many outposts are cleared according to the principle - spend a lot of time trying to take drones away from patrols using decoys and then kill them so that the alarm does not activate. The shock pistol is an absurd solution, it turns off any drone, but the enemies do not react in any way even if the drone went offline right in front of their eyes. The simplest solutions I can offer is this:
- add a skill that allows you to hack any drone through a mini-game and gives you the ability to control its movement and then completely disable it. With this, the drone can be taken to a hidden place and quietly neutralized
- add to each drone outpost - a special enemy responsible for drones. Add the ability to grab that enemy and make him steer the drones away, or simply disable them and forcing him to inform the rest of the patrols that the shutdown of the drones was necessary for preventive work or it was just a malfunction.
7. Add dense jungle to the game.
I really miss the real wilderness in Breakpoint, a jungle that would be really hard to get through. In my opinion, the jungle in this aspect was much better implemented in the wildlands. It often feels like the jungle is semi-empty, just fields planted with rare bushes and palms.
8. Expand interaction with AI teammates.
At the moment it looks damp and not organic. Add more phrases, dialogues for AI teammates. Including dialogues related to specific locations. Communication is just not enough. After a short time, their comments are boring. I would like to see more diverse communication. Add the ability to praise or scold your teammates and their reactions to it.
9. Add grapple and rappel system.
10. Add a creative mode, with the ability to choose the time of day and weather.
It will be very convenient for players who have already completed the game and want to simulate certain scenarios, without having to rewind time in camps and try to randomly get the wanted weather.
11. Add mod support and map editor.
I believe that this will be beneficial both from a financial point of view and in terms of the popularity of the game and its replayability.
This is a really big topic for discussion, but I don't want to detail all the pros and cons of this here. I'll just say - in my humble opinion, the game will win both financially and in terms of the popularity of the game and its lifespan. And I think the payoff is worth the effort to organize it all. The players can lift this game to heaven in a financial and creative sense. It is this game, with its mechanics and style, that has great potential for modding, which will attract many who wish.
12. Expand the character editor.
Add at least more faces, hairstyles. It would be great to see a full face geometry editor or at least a choice of several options for different parts of the face. Body, weight, height, proportions editor. Add the ability to choose animations for running, walking, holding weapons.
13. Add wild dangerous animals.
For example - lions, tigers, panthers, snakes. It would go very well together with the increased density of the jungle.
14. Add the ability to smoke.
Cigars and cigarettes. A small feature, but very nice for immersion. Again, I do not pretend to be objective for all tastes of the players, this is my personal taste.
15. Make it possible to grab the enemy by pressing the grab button instead of holding it.
Maybe I don't know something? In the options meny there is a choice between pressing and holding, but this can't be changed (PC, keyboard). A huge number of times I failed a stealth mission due to the fact that it was not possible to adequately grab the enemy in a critical situation, when it must be done super quickly. It was very often infuriating. Holding the button instead of pressing is VERY inconvenient and in a critical situation it ruins everything. You need to spend a lot of time waiting for the grabbing and very often the grabbing is buggy and the opportunity to make it disappears, and you need to move the character a little and only then the grabbing opportunity appears again, but there is no longer time to wait for the grabbing holding button loading, the enemy starts shooting and the alarm is raised.
16. Add the possibility of grabbing enemies stealthily from different covers and corners
Like in Metal Gear and Splinter Cell, with the subsequent redirection of the enemy from his position to player position behind the wall or corner, so that it was quickly and stealthily.
17. Add the ability to hide weapons and walk without them, like in Wildlands.
18. Add the ability to choke enemies from behind or break their necks with your bare hands.
In addition to the previous sentence about hiding weapons.
19. Melee knife kill from prone position sometimes not working.
Sometimes I cannot eliminate an enemy in close combat from a prone position. An inscription about the possibility does not appear and the button does not work. Has anyone else encountered this? Perhaps I don't know something about the game or is it a bug? I have checked this many times and this function is completely lost during one game session. Sometimes it appears after restarting the game, sometimes it doesn't.
20. Add the ability to change the color of the stripes and belt of Fourth Echelon Pants.
You've recently added many new options for changing the color of different outfits, why didn't you take these pants into account?
Beautiful ideas. Unfortunately Ubisoft never takes those seriously. Many people on this forum have spent hours delivering great feedback and Ubisoft just used less than 1% of it maybe.
They have released so called big Gunsmith update recently - which is to be honest minor bug fixing. If you'd go thru this forum you could write a book about what's wrong with all the gunsmith but Ubisoft didn't care or use almost any of it. Most of what you asked for was asked hundreds times since the game was released. Nothing came to life.
I met this game and forum relatively recently. Therefore, I still don't have a complete understanding of what player suggestions mean to developers, how seriously they generally take them. If the players spend so much time and effort to convey their ideas to the developers and as a result these ideas do not reach or are ignored, in my understanding, this situation is absolutely terrible, from the point of view of banal simple humanity, morality. Over the past few weeks, I have seen a lot of messages, threads from players, which were very detailed, with a lot of text, very much filled with their energy, time, attention, love for the game and pure disinterested desire to make game better. If these suggestions are not perceived in any way by the development team - then all these players just wasted their valuable energy and time for nothing?Originally Posted by Marcin79W Go to original post
I did not find any information on the forum about what kind of players suggestions could be considered potential by the development team at all. I would be very grateful if someone shows me such an information, if it exists on the forum. I think this is very important information for a forum of this format, with sections - suggestions. If the forum has a section - suggestions, information should be given to players on how seriously these suggestions are taken from the perspective of being introduced to the game. It's just not clear what value this section has for developers at all. Does it make any sense at all to create threads in this section, or is it originally created for a players to share ideas only with each other, but not for implementation. Players must understand if there are any guarantees that their suggestions will be accepted for work or at least heard. It initially depends on what kind of suggestions it makes sense to create on this forum. Otherwise, players will simply create meaningless threads, investing their valuable time, effort, energy, attention into them, and these posts will never be taken into account, just because this forum does not work like that and the rules of this work are not written anywhere. I repeat, I have not found such information anywhere, perhaps it is? If yes, then I would really appreciate it if someone pointed to it.
I think that the energy, attention and time that players input to send ideas to the developers on this forum should not go unnoticed for no reason and without explanation. If there is a section on the forum - "suggestions", then there must be some information about how relevant these suggestions are in general for developers, from the point of view of implemetation. This information provides an important insight to players whether it makes sense to spend their valuable time and energy on this forum.
In short. If there is a section on the forum - "suggestions", then information should be given about how these suggestions are actively considered by the administration of the forum and the developers and what are the chances of any type of suggestions to be implemented. If there is no such information, then the players will waste energy on meaningless messages that will never be seen or implemented.
