The FN FAL shown in the promo image is backwards and wrong

I don't know if there's still time for Ubi to fix this, or if they have any desire to, but the FN FAL shown off so far is "backwards".

This reminds me of those dark days in the early 2000s where devs didn't seem to know what guns look like, and most things were "left handed".

Even my favorite Far Cry, FC2 was guilt of this across the board.

I find it very odd a multi-million dollar project in 2020 still feature anachronistic models like this, though, when every other FPS that's featured this weapon in the last five years or so has gotten it right.

Please Ubi, let this gun model live up to the quality of the rest!

I assume they did that on purpose because it looks cooler when the bullets are ejected towards the screen instead off screen.

That and its possible it looks that way because its a makeshift model using different parts put together to create an amateur rifle.

Well I think the gun itself is standard issue, the sight on it is the makeshift part of it. Even if it was supposed to be cobbled together from various parts, the ejection port wouldn't be on the wrong side unless that part was put on backwards which would prevent it from working as the bullets would be loaded in the wrong direction. Regardless, I think getting tripped up on little issues like gun models not being 100% accurate in a series that doesn't even attempt to present itself as being ultra realistic is a little silly.... A mistake like this in something like Rainbow 6 or call of duty, sure, gripe about it, but FC is doesn't even take place in real world locations let alone suggest it's a realistic game...
