Why not just add content to the game permanently? I'm really not a fan of you dictating to me when I should play a game.
I will play it when I want to play it, not when you tell me to. If this trend continues I'll be even more reluctant to buy season passes.
The whole "live service game" idea just needs to die along with drip fed content. Make substantial add-on packs and sell them as DLC packages. Not this one or a few missions at a time. I really don't want to re-familiarize myself with a game's controls and quirks just to play a few missions at a time.

I guess it's a marketing strategy for making new customers. "Buy Ghost Recon Breakpoint now (it's also on SALE!) and participate in the time-limited live event in which the Outcasts fight back against Sentinel!"
Remove the time limit and you lose the arbitrary urgency. Combined with the new teammate feature that everyone was waiting for, this surely got some people to finally buy the game.
That being said, I totally agree with you. I skipped the Terminator event because I was focused on other games back then. I would play it now, but I don't see any replay option (which we have for the side-missions from Mads and Haruhi). That's a shame. I expect more from a "live service game", especially as someone who paid 90 bucks when pre-ordering the game.

My concern is that the live events dont seem to be announced anywhere, I missed the terminator event cause I didnt know it existed till I logged in one day to see if they'd fixed the Battle Rewards, then just happened to login the other day to be able to do the current event.
I stopped playing a while ago because I had logged in each day to do Faction Missions to earn my daily 400 points, to unlock everything in season 1 & 2, then Ubisoft gave everything I'd spent time doing to everyone for free as compensation for not fixing bugs that were present in Beta.
I used to be a Ubisoft Fanboy, but this game taught me that Ubisoft are only interested in your money and dont care that theyre selling you broken games.
The fact they dont respond to any messages in this forum proves it for me, its like shouting at a wall, occasionally you will get an admin move a thread if its posted in the wrong place, but thats not the same.
IMO the biggest problem I have with Ubi's Bugs are that everytime theres a content patch the bugs that have been fixed come back, makes no sense.
Also this forums Captcha rubbish is dumb, I'm not american, I dont know what a crosswalk is.

To force to to play the game, duh! And maybe buy extra content for it.
It definitely works. When the Terminator Live Event started, I had just bought the game, so I had to push through it to complete all missions to collect all rewards. It was very hard, since I had few skills unlocked, had no bots or coop to help me and had low gear score, but fortunately it was so worth it.
But again, no one is forcing you to play Live Events either.
