It's not just GRB that does this. I play RDO and even there Vulkan is causing FPS drops. SO maybe it's not GRB, but Vulkan in general.

Can you please let us know what setup you are running.
Please check. Seems like it was forgotten:

PS: workaround - use DX11 version.

Hey Members is Vulkan only for increasing FPS?
Never open Vulkan your fps wont up and they will fall to 32 fps so terrible game looks ....

For me vulkan works great as long as i keep my resolution at 1080p,when going up to 1440p or 4k is when the bug starts to occur. While anything can trigger it i've found alt tabbing, messing around in the menu too much and transitions between cutscenes to be the major triggers for this issue. Setting your terrain setting to Very High may lessin the occurrences sometimes but even doing that today i've had to restart the game 4 times in the past hour. you can also try deleting the shade file but for me there was zero effect. really hope this is fixed soon.

Not sure this is the same issue RDR2 vulkan has, because for me atleast deleting its shader files fixes the issue for a few days before it acts up again.

Yep. Go to Documents\My Games\Ghost Recon Breakpoint and delete scimitar_vkpipelinecache.bin

It will rebuild the Vulkan shader cache. You got to do similar stuff with Red Dead Redemption too if you're playing it on Vulkan. It definitely runs better but it's also more unstable.

    Hey everyone,

Thanks for reaching out and I am sorry to hear about the issue you've been all dealing with.

In order to resolve the issue, as Pekmez-Pita suggested there, we would recommend removing the shader cache.

To do this, please head to the game save folder (Documents\My Games\Ghost Recon Breakpoint) and delete the following 2 files:
    - pipelinecache.vk
    - scimitar_vkpipelinecache.bin

We do apologise about the inconvenience caused.

Should you have any questions, let us know!

i only have the scimitar_vkpipelinecache.bin and not the pipelinecache.vk file. Deleting the the scimitar_vkpipelinecache.bin has no affect as i've stated.

Sorry, but it doesn't help at all.

Having same issue as OP with Vulkan version, putting Terrain quality above Very High results in randomly occurring bug where game performance drops from 60+ fps to level of 10-15.

I'm getting this especilly in the menus. Drops to 40ish then 30, then 20, sub 10. Sometimes it leaks into the main game. Bivouacs always drop. Then at some point I'll fast travel and fps gets worse in main game.. Then it fixes itself or not. I just restart the game every 45 min or so. Did NOT have this problem before the update. Installed recent drivers from nvidia a day or so ago. Saw shaders preloading, still no joy.
Two steps forward three steps back with this game.
