As long as the loot stays the same on lower difficulties, I am excited about this change. Awesome.
- Increased minimum item power and chances for higher power items for several difficulties, resulting in higher average rolls overall
- Slight increase on Challenge
- Bigger increase on Heroic and Legendary
This is hopefully only if the world is on that global difficulty, right? Hopefully.

- Increased power of items from Field Proficiency and Dark Zone caches to be on par with Heroic tier loot (up from Challenge)
Moved general pool Exotics from mission final boss loot to mission completion rewards
AwesomeThis means that an Exotic that drops as loot from a final boss in a mission will either be the Exotic specific to the mission (e.g. The Bighorn in Legendary missions) or an Exotic from the current targeted loot pool, but not a random different Exotic. These extra random Exotics can still be awarded with the same frequency but are acquired as an Exotic Cache from the mission completion rewards instead.

He does not want an exploitable mechanic. He is saying he hopes that your fp cache from normal doesn't give out heroic loot. I think this is intended though, it will just be earned much slower in normal than heroic due to xp scaling for all activities. It also adds something some people have been asking for from launch. A progression path. Play at normal earn some heroic tier loot and move up to hard challenge etc as your gear improves. The higher you go the faster you earn items that help improve your builds, and eventually you can play at heroic and earn even more of that quality loot from every drop you receiveOriginally Posted by Helgerd123 Go to original post

Yeah that’s what I was getting at. In my opinion, if you want loot that’s scaled, you should play the scale to get it. Compared to other things in the game, though, it’s a very small thing either way. But I will be very happy to be playing heroic and get heroic level loot as I level my watch. I hated opening caches I got while playing heroic to get stuff barely worth even braking down for mats lol. But Maverick did make a good point about x2 being slower on normal.
