People love this feature and I give kudos to the studio for a great update with fun content.Originally Posted by UbiBlush Go to original post
Not only does the rebel presence make the world feel more alive, it also gives a meaning to the players, you're finally fighting for something and not investigating lanterns, bringing gems to a fisherman or retrieving the remains of some girl's granfather. You're giving a hand to rebels to destabilize Sentinel and that (finally) makes sense.
Also, the missions were great, the design was good, it was a good balance between pure action (stop the convoys, attack the camp with the rebels) and stealth (release the hostages). And no drones. This live event is a success and the studio should capitalize on this.
Yes, it's been a rocky road but with the inclusion of the AI Team, the rebel presence and some quality content this game is a hundred times better now than it was at launch.
Please keep listening to the community!
Thank you UbiBlush. This has been the best thing for BP since launch. If it’s removed, I think the outcry may match that of getting rid of the AI team. Having the rebels active makes everything better. We need more resistance missions.Originally Posted by UbiBlush Go to original post
I suggested in another thread, that an ideal addition to this game would be daily resistance missions, that manage the rebel presence region by region. Fail a mission and rebel presence goes down and azreal flyovers goes up, and vice versa for a win.
It really can’t be overstated what a bad move removing this awesome addition would be.
Without ai teammates, and the world seems dead without travelling civilians were the 2 major disappointments for me and my friend, it was so lonely while playing alone, even in duo play.Originally Posted by UbiBlush Go to original post
The resistance and ai teammates are the two major fix for us and the game is getting fun again.
I think that this idea of the rebellion is a great one, and helps immersion. It provides a new gameplay too. Instead of hiding constantly from these annoying surveillance drones, now you get into the target area, "clean" the zone and then proceed to your mission.
I think that the rebellion against Sentinel is a great idea. It makes sense too, because otherwise, the Ito story would be meaningless.
You're right, as many of us have suggested before: rebels, same as every other faction; most features even, must all function as part of overarching systems that adapt to the state of the world and your actions as a player. Otherwise this game will remain dead even if this World-wide AI battle royale continues as is, as soon as the novelty disappears..Originally Posted by Solvejk Go to original post
Keep this in.
My initial reaction was 'OK, this makes sense - why wasn't it in the game from the beginning?'
Helping rebels take over bases, then having to resupply them (faction missions - weapons/ food/ medical supplies) makes sense. Stopping convoys en route to retake bases makes sense. Helping rebels take over regions makes sense. Driving the PMC back and retaking the island region by region makes sense,
Now being able to out the damn flying drones with syn shot/ team mates, great.
Being able to roam the open world without having to go prone every 3 minutes, great. Helo flying over - friendly or enemy? Great. Being able to drive vehicles, great. Open world contacts, and me deciding to help/ ignore, great.
Doing things now make sense, faction missions are a means to an end. This whole event made the game fun.
Leave this in Ubisoft. BUT if you do decide to take it out - Get on this forum and explain exactly WHY you are doing what you are doing and the reasoning behind this.
This is all we ask for a CHANCE to be HEARD to change the landscape of this Game...to breath new life into it...we are standing up and we won't take no more...we want to be heard...this game took a step into the right direction with the resistance all we ask its you keep this key mechanic in the Game and thrive off of what can be a more alive island...just please listen to our voice...if not then...we'll you kno...ADIOS AMIGO!
I'm pretty hopeful that even if the rebels get turned off, they will come back, but whatever way we get there, this would be an ideal opportunity to talk back to your community @Ubisoft.
I'll draft the start of the message for you ... "Ghosts, we were really pleased to see your reaction to the rebel Outcast presence on Aurora. In our original concept we had planned to scale back and remove the rebel presence, but on reading all your positive feedback on what this has brought to the game are now reviewing how we can .... xxxxxxx .... and plan on introducing this in an update we are hoping to schedule a release for in .....xxxxxxxx ...... We will keep you posted on how we progress with this and will be monitoring all your feedback in the meantime.
For the first time since the technical test there is some positive sentiment emerging. Nurture it with a two way dialogue that involves all your players. Don't just listen, check for understanding.
I agree blue.
But as someone said I dont remember the thread, the plan was to remove them now and work on them to make it a full fledged mechanic instead of just an feature, I believe this would mean that we would be able to have more support options, perhaps diversion, fireteam etc.
I just think that instead of turning of the feature and leaving the game empty and boring until september, they could leave it as an option for the players so we can keep occupied until the next TU
