Setting the affinity crashes it on character select. This is the same behavior I see on all eight cores. Great that it works for some players, but this is not a fix.

Yeah, if I leave it on the character select screen it will crash on its own. If I select a character it will crash immediately.

Guys - there is a workaround..

Once you get to the connected screen CTRL_SHIFT-ESCAPE or ctr alt del, go to task manager, DETAILED tab, right click on GRB and set affinity. Set to 1 core (core 0) for this screen. As soon as you are past this screen can add all your cores again.

bought the game on sun. july 12. with ubi forward sale 75% off.
played exactly one week hardcore 75 hours ... and now maybe it means 75% = 75 hrs is enough ... ;-)

This worked only once for me. After that it didn't work anymore.

I also played the free weekend without issue, aside from some optimization complaints(1080 TI, 8700k). Bought the ultimate edition on sale, and now the game will not get past character select or even the splash screens sometimes. Such a shame.

It's clearly a server issue. I will demand my money back if not resolved SOON. Didn't pay to be played around with.
