    Lost in PVP

    Hello everyone,
I'm a casual player, also a sucker for racing games. I bought the game for my father which he loves racing games but once i played it, i really loved it. After finished the stories and grinding, i dwell into PVP. I hit the throttle than give a nitro. Suddenly 6 mixed engine voices past over all around me. It was like the meme which "At this moment he knows he ..." I was using Mitsubishi Lancer all 280 golden parts. Road knowledge is important, but those cars jumped lightspeed at start, you don't need the know road at that point. All the races are same after that. There must be something i missed. I'd love hear some advices.
    Have a good day

I'm not sure if I understood the situation correctly, so please explain in more detail if I got you wrong:

You were starting (with full throttle) and gave nitro - how much? A full tank? Maybe this is already the problem:
If you are in front right after the start, the other opponents will benefit from the slipstream you are giving. Furthermore, they are giving slipstream to each other when they are driving in each other's ghosts. So after a few seconds, the bunch of opponents will overtake you, and since you gave slipstream and they were giving slipstream to each other, they are much faster and it will be difficult for you to catch up, especially when the first turns come up and you can not profit from the slipstream.

So if this sounds like an explanation for your problem, the solution is careful use of nos: Just give a short burst at the start and try to have nearly a full nitro tank at all times during the starting phase (so use just short bursts. If someone gives more nos at the start, drive right behind them to benefit from their slipstream. Usually, after 3-4 seconds (depending on class and cars in PvP), you will have reached a good position and you are still having a full tank of nos which you can use in case you are making a mistake or you want to escape from the pack after you made a better move than your opponents did.

BTW: All cars are having the same level in PvP, golden parts don't help. And there are cars accelerating faster than the Lancer. But it's not a bad car and it should not have severe issues at start.

Thanks for the info. I checked some videos about slipstream after your advice. It's definitely important and vital entire race.
