Hello everybody,
I've been playing TD2 for just a couple of months but I already spent over 200 hours on it, I think that it is the best TPS that I've ever played.
I don't have other friends to play with, I joined a clan, a open one, I don't know anyone of the members and usually they are offline when I play (probably they are in another continent).
I really would like to grab one of those assault rifles (eagle bearer) from Dark hours raid but it's not possible to do matchmaking on normal difficult (the only one to obtain the keys), I tried to find someone on discord, but I didn't find anyone reliable in those tries, I want to play not to lose time on a chat.
Please find a solution for me and for all the other players in this situation, just add matchmaking on normal difficulty or add it to the vendor for a very high price (millions) or something else...
Thanks Ubisoft
Antun
Sadly, solo players are not very welcome at ubi/massive, (hence the gear changes implemented in WoNY, specifically to kill the ability of players to solo the hardest content, and no match making for the raids).
As much as I agree with you though, and would love to get the exotics that are raid locked, I do not want to see these items enter the general exotic loot pool.
Why? Well, simply put, as much as I would like to get them, I want to get them the same way everyone else has...and not receive them in some cheapened way.
They are there in the raids, if I really really want to go get them, I can either look for a clan that is willing to accept new members, or I can maybe wait for a buddy to have a free spot in their raid and help them out, I know, it sucks, I used to play WoW and they had matchmaking for everything, (in fact I cleared all the raid content in lich king in random groups, making many contacts and even friend along the way), so why there is no matchmaking for normal mode raids is a big puzzle to me, yes, you could argue you need a mic minimum to coordinate the team... But WoW's big raids had 25 players not 8... And they did fine with randoms, (also plenty of duff teams lol).
All I can suggest is either hunt for a clan that suits you, or just keep running mm missions, make some contacts, and maybe get a spot as a free lancer in someone's clan run.
And who knows, maybe ubi/massive will stop the anti solo player bias and introduce mm for the full raids, but I do doubt it somehow, as they continue to show their disdain for the likes of you and I.
You dont need a friends to play the raid.Originally Posted by antungnorri89 Go to original post
Join division 2 discord, there are plenty of helpfull peaople doing raids every day.
They will carry you.
//Edit
I just checked, 6 groupls playing raid on div2 discord channed, 2 groups are not full.
Very few veterans play Dark Hours over on LFG. The channels that are full are doing Iron Horse or farming the last boss for keys.Originally Posted by Mr.Atlass Go to original post
Whilst the OP can start a group himself it will be new players or people in his same predicament so whilst forming and completing the raid will take longer than the 10-15 mins experienced groups can complete it in he should make an effort to friend and form a Dark Hours group.
There is no easy solution for him unless he stumbles across a group looking to do that Raid but it's slim pickings.
We have a huge range of clans that are helping players with obtaining the Eagle Bearer or in general helping players to complete the Raids![]()
You can try to reach out to them via our spotlights we did for example:
i think we need more of this. should also make some way to reward these groups for being so helpful to anybody. it may sway standard of community to be more of a community.Originally Posted by Ubi-Lucipus Go to original post
Sadly not cause everyone would be running around with an eagle bearer and if they don’t know how to play with tenacity people would rather do stuff solo than matchmake. The eagle bearer would be worthless and my 8 months of opening the box would be useless then. Also now tenacity is not worth it in a 4 man group cause all it does is give damage reduction as long as you get 3 kills to not take fatal damage
Really? And even for those who do not speak English?
No clan will help me because I don't speak English. And therefore I will not get into the raid and I will not catch the EB. In addition, I bought the game separately and not as a team. So why are solo players discriminated against in front of team players?
Honestly I think that the Raid is just for organized team players, not for solo players. You need great organization and communication to do the right things at the right time.
Iron Horse seems also more complicated than Dark Hours so communication is mandatory, almost impossible among casual gamers, no microphone, maybe different languages, no knowlegde of the things to do, that want just to "shoot".
The wrong thing is that the rewards are not secondary items or patterns but interesting weapons that anyone wants to try. Ubisoft should remember that players, independently if they play in team or solo, they have all bought the game and additional content in the same way so they sould have, at least for the primary rewards, the possibility to get them.
