    AI teammates impressions thread.

Well, I tested them and I like them. They make game more interesting and, comparing to other players as teammates, they always play the way you want! You want to go stealth? They will be silent. Want to go loud? Just issue command. Great! Already loving them! This is feature which should be in Breakpoint from start.

It is great that I can customize them, and, in addition to customizable looks like in Wildlans, I can now give them weapon and they will fight with in. Great, definitely improvement over Wildlands.

Also, tried playing with different sets of four male and four female oparators. Looks like each of them have their own voice. And I don't think that this is reused voices from Wildlands because sometimes there is names (Fury, Fixit) was spoken.

But there is still some technical problems. When I enabled Ai teammates in Erewhon and then left cave - Fixit spawned inside mountain and even after fast travel was standing still:

Solution: turn AI team off and when they disappear - turn them on again. Since then they worked flawlessly.

Overall, I really like that AI teammates and hope that they will be improved (and that bug with spawning will be fixed). Definitely a step in right direction.

It's really good to see the AI Team back!

I'm trying different things regarding their equipped weapon and so far it's been pretty fun.
They're pretty efficient too, I sent them to clear a base while I was doing support with a SNR from a nearby hill and they did a good job, I think it had the right balance, they're not overpowered but they're not taking forever to kill one dude either. Good job on that.

I also like that they can sync shot the flying drones, even though you'll still be detected when the drones crash at least you get rid of them in one sync shot, move back to reset the heat level and come back to clear the base stealthily if you want to.

I'm a bit disappointed that the orders are so limited and that Ubisoft didn't innovate at all (besides the customization).
I would have loved to see features like individual placement and orders, some preset tactics like "go sabotage this" or "go place C4 there", maybe some heli extraction, some breach/flashbang/clear possibility, etc...

The biggest disappointment is obviously the lack of content and the huge delay (9 months after launch). I did a few bases and some of the Wolves camps and I'm already kinda bored, there's nothing exciting to do with the AI Team and with the limited commands, it gets old pretty fast.

tl;dr: feels more like a GR game, still boring.

Another disappointment is that they have no skill tree, in Wildlands you could use some skill points on "Born Leader" and team efficiency.
i'm not talking about some huge grind but it would at least give us something to do to improve them.

Wish we had a roster too with Holt (9 months in, he recovered) and Midas.

Also there's no banter and chat amongst the team.

I miss Holt saying he'd like a mausoleum like Sueno in WL and someone else responding "what are you, a Seal? I don't know of any quiet operator that would need something like that" and other lines that added personality to the team.

These guys weren't introduced, spawn out of nowhere, and are not interacting besides a few "good job Ghost leader" and ranting about putting silencers ont.

The palette needs some work. I find that copy only pulls from one palette and as soon as I enter edit teammates it defaults Nomads pallet (to palette 5 in my case). I can manage to do what I want but I have to go back to Nomads palette to make sure the one I want is active. Nice to finally see my teammates.

There are some bugs I hope the devs can iron out soon (I'm playing on PS4 Pro).

For example, if you're in a firefight, and you and your teammates have suppressors equipped, and then you remove your suppressor--causing your teammates to remove theirs in the middle of combat--their weapons might still have "loud" sounds, but their muzzle flashes might be missing, or their weapons will still sound silenced, but now they have muzzle flashes. There's often something that doesn't quite compute right in cases like this.

At first, when I order my teammates to go to a location, they would verbally confirm that they received the order ("Roger, moving there now!") and then also confirm that they've arrived at the location ("We're in position!"). But, like, 10 minutes later, they stopped confirming when they arrive at a location altogether. They'd say nothing when they arrive. What gives?

And then during firefights, once again, they sometimes seem to have trouble committing to the fight. They'll hang back too often, not engage too often, even after giving them the "Cleared hot" order.

Otherwise, my thought on AI teammates is this: "Was this really so hard, Ubisoft? Couldn't we have had AI teammates from the beginning? Isn't this a Ghost Recon game?"

    Hello.
Finally! Cannot imagine what it was like waiting for the AI since the release.

    Impression:
Quite satisfied with them, tested them in few missions, assassination, rescue... AI introduces new possibilities. Fury and Fixit waits, Vasily helps me with the sniper towers, once inside, if you scout ahead, you can actually clear rooms/areas efficiently, no alarms. At one point I moved them towards the mission to deal with naughty sentinel commander. I told them to go loud and they can actually fight, again, quite efficiently (I was hiding in a bush ). Overall, a big plus in my book.

The only thing I would like to have added is probably the CQC command of some sort. Something like a sync shot, but with hands/knives/whatever.

Customization, similar to Wildlands. Spend a good amount of time in the menus to get them geared up and ready to go.

I posted this on anothed thread, but just want to say again that the AI team is a very welcome addition. Sure, there's more we could all ask for, but on a whole it's nice to be able to say something positive about this game for a change.

Non-immersive. Your team just pops up and hangs with you? No introductions? It's more like a mod than a feature made by the developers. Well, I'll play a little more tomorrow and see if I can pretend it's all just normal. I think there are gonna be missions that you just have to do yourself. I think some explanation for their sudden presence would have kept me immersed. If it doesn't work out I'll go play some RDR2 for awhile and give this game a break.

While replaying the game with AI's I find it a lot of fun. The AI's work is more smooth than Wildlands and they respond to the controls better. Although I'd like a different method of getting to the AI command prompt. When you're in a hurry the Alt then right mouse button and then slide to the command is too slow and causes obvious problems. I use the keypad # for the weapons wheel so I'd like the AI command Prompt first - not possible as the commands set now. Also, I find a little hesitation in the game when the graphics get saturated. I'm running a RTX 2070 Super on an i7 7700K at 4.2 so this shouldn't happen. The game finally locked up while using a helicopter. (That's why I'm here instead of playing.) This graphics hesitation is the only real complaint I have with the AI - and is the same problem I had with Far Cry New Dawn which I no longer mess with because there was no fix offered and no response from CS concerning it. Again, though the new AI is great and a lot of fun. But there is a conflict that locks up the game. Hope this gets fixed.
