Question: teammates system in Far Cry 6 is from Far Cry 5 or New Dawn?

Here is why I really liked Far Cry 5 and disliked New Dawn: AI teammates system.

    1. In Far Cry 5 player could hire not only specialists, but also random NPCs from many different classes (Sniper, Soldier, RPG, Hunter and so on). Also, by unlocking perk, player could have up to 2 AI teammates in the same time. For me, it was quite fun to play through game with a team of 2 teammates.

    2. In Far Cry New Dawn this system was butchered down. Hiring of random NPC's was removed, only specialists was left in game. And, worst thing is, you could have only one AI teammate. There was no more team of 3 (player + 2 AI bots) in game and this really was feeling like downgrade.

So, my question is: will Far Cry 6 have system from Far Cry 5 (hiring of random NPCs, more than 1 AT teammate in party) or from New Dawn (no hiring of random NPCs, only 1 AI teammate)? Actually, I would have been happy if there was optional ability to get 3 AI bots like it is possible in Ghost Recon Wildlands or Breakpoint.

P.S. I understand that some of players disliked AI bots, BUT they was completely optional and if you didn't liked AI team - you could just play solo without them. So, nobody is asking to make them mandatory, but some people like to play as a leader of a group.

i have not even seen informations that say we have human team mates all the talk of the team mate ai helpers says they are all animals i will be using these ai companions as little as possible i just hope that they are not such a major part of game as in far cry 5 because everyone says they are optional and to not use if we do not like but almost half missions in game are gun for hire missions so that is not possible

I believe New Dawn was designed in a way to enforce the tier ranks of enemies so your Guns for Hire wouldn't do all the work for you. I'm sure Amigos will be expanding Far Cry 5's Guns for Hire system.

I was not a fan of the guns for hire system taking center stage in FC5 and I hope it is less front and center in 6 personally...

How it can be that almost half of mission are guns for hire if there is only 9 missions for specialists? Because, when I look at mission list: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfil...?id=1345616853

I see many mission (more than a half) which you can play solo. Some story mission force you to play solo (like when you get captured in bunker and have to escape). All outposts can be completed solo. All prepper stashes can be completed solo.

I really hope that they will.

there is mission to teach you how to get gun for hire to work for you
there is mission to free captured gun for hire for each special
then there is mission to unlock special gun for hire ability

i not say only that missions are not playable without the gun for hire i say only that too many mission is relate to the gun for hire system and not the story of game or progress of our character the deputy which there is actually none of because deputy was silent and without any personality

i simple do not want gun for hire to be so much a majer part of game that we have many missions about them i want it as option to never even do one mission about gun for hire and be able to play whole game never using one or even seeing one if we do not want to make it so players who need the help can do the missions to get them and players who do not want ai helpers can never have to

Dude, the guns for hire were so obviously the key new addition in that game. They based like 20 missions around explaining how to use them, gathering and upgrading them, and then dedicated a whole section of the skills to them. How can anyone play FC5 and not think that the guns for hire are meant to be a key feature? I wish they weren't but they absolutely are...

I just hope they don't create the overpowered beast they had in FC New Dawn. If you want to sit back and let your companion do the work for you clearing outposts, then get a max level Horatio and set him to attacking, and you can basically do nothing unless an enemy is in a location he can't reach. At least in FC5, Peaches and Cheeseburger would die and you had to worry about them, but Horatio was just way too OP.

I hated most every companion in FCNewDawn except for Horatio, and often hated the FC5 human ones, because they wouldn't SHUT UP, and their dialog was like something out of a 14 year old boys mouth when he is tying to look cool to all his friends.

I honestly hope they make the game hard enough that a second player or companion is helpful or almost needed, instead of making the game too easy when you have them. But meh, whatever, they are going to have to show improvements in several areas of story, choices to get my money anytime soon.....otherwise this will be a buy when it is on sale for 20 bucks for the superduper edition.

I'm not a fan of the guns / fangs for hire system to begin with so I didn't really care for any of them either and rarely commanded them around unless to say stay here so I could go down and engage in combat by myself. I'm really hoping they scale back on making it such a central feature and make it very much an optional 'opt in' type of thing where you have to deliberately choose to bring a companion with you.
