Okay, here is quote:
Source: https://gamerant.com/far-cry-6-inter...ng-antagonist/I think what’s exciting for us is that you’re going to be able to see Dani in the third person, in cinematics and other elements of the game, and during that it became almost a necessity to have a fully voiced and performance captured character.
So, looks like it is not only cutscenes. but some "other elements" of Far Cry 6 is also change perspective from 1st person to 3rd.
I'm the only one who thinks that 3rd person cutscenes ruin immersion and take away features which made Far Cry series unique in comparsion to other Ubisoft games? If this information is true, Far Cry 6 will now have same 3rd perspective cutscenes like we already have in Assassin's Creed, Division, Watch Dogs, Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon. I really liked first-person cutscenes from previous Far Cry games. They was quite interesting and exaclty this made best cutscenes in gaming history like famous Vaas cutscenes from Far Cry 3 when there was a feeling that he talks to YOU, not some other character. And now it is gone? And now we will have same "cinematic" expirience like in every other game?
Also, in my opinion, constant switching between 1st and 3rd perspectives can be very annoying. I hated it in Bad Company 2 when perspective can be changed for a few times in one single level. I disliked it in Battlefield Hardline. It was annoying in New Colossus and Black Ops 3/Modern Warfare 2019.
So, what do you think about that?

Same. I'd have preferred they stuck with the always first person, immersive experience, but it's not a huge deal to me and I understand the rationale behind the change.
Well, I guess, mods can delete that old thread in Far Cry 5 section.Originally Posted by KrayZee_ Go to original post
