Reminder That the Game Is Not Dead

For folks who were expecting to see Skull & Bones as part of Ubisoft Forward yesterday and took its absence to actually mean anything, Kakuchopurei.com has you covered with an official comment confirming that the game is still in development:

"According to VGC, the game is now intended to tell an ongoing story influenced by the actions of its players, with a shifting cast of quests and characters and a greater emphasis on co-operative play. "

so if the rumor in the articles is correct, the game is beeing remade from scratch.

That's not really any different than what was told in E3 and interviews during Summer 2018, though. Going back at least that far, it was intended to be a live service game, it was intended to have an evolving story/plot/world over the course of in-game seasons, etc. Maybe there's now more of a shift from competitive to cooperative, but that is pretty much the only potentially new information any of these recent articles have provided (other than the name of the new creative director, Elisabeth Pellen, woo!).

Dont think the point here is to get new info at the current state of the game, it is to find out if the game was one of the titles beeing dropped by UBI or not, since that has been in "up the air" for some time.

As it stands it aint dropped. going to take a few years before it is released, but it aint dropped.

Like in for honour- the evolving story is just PR speak for seasons of content. Don’t think anything of it. They will release content every game season, or story ARC in MMOs. Which will dictate the world state depending on which nodes are controlled by X.

Think Turf wars in WoW, and how they kind of influence the story. However the difference in story is usually negligible. Until I see different I will expect the same here
