It's not that simple, I know that many players are just like me and have over 10 loadouts, very versatile builds around damage dealing, skills, healing, tank etc. Then there's the fact that the game as a very intricate and complex weapon/equipement system and that the balance is constantly changing.

Like, I recently had a need for a specific Golan Gear pair of gloves with a status effect attribute. I had a good pair but no status effect on it. I tried famring targeted loot but I quickly gave because it just takes too much time to find a specific item. I ended up crafting a few until I got a (barely) decent one.

Now, I'm sure that over the course of my time playing this game, I must have come across that piece. But since at the time I had no use for it, i probably deconstructed it to save some space. Granted, it's not like I constantly have to farm for everything. I manage to keep the need for new pieces minimal but keeping one highly rolled item for each brand/set is not enough to cover all you basis.
You never know what build you might wanna try in the future, what build would be really fun, what build is suddenly gonna become incredibly powerful or what build is going to be extremely efficient for a specific goal that you have.

I guess my point is that if the farming system was a bit more efficient I wouldn't have to worry about saving space.

u may not like to change gear loadout, or a collector of stuff, like weapon , handgun, mods etc

for an example, one brand, people like to have three version, one DPS, all red or something like that, one all blue or tank build attribute... and skill build, that is yellow . so now u need 3 space for one brand, however, it is just a minimum, as second attribute is a optional , so some may want to test and hold, like armor regen, hazard protection, HP boost etc, now u got 3 more each , totally 9 space is needed ....etc. one brand, one type of gear(for backpack and chest- normally)), then talent will be different or need to be specified for that piece.. so u know

so if u is doing somthing like that, u will find current size isn't enough, esp, some like to hold two exotics of each, as who know there was something like increasing on gear score point, increasing LV etc, so u may need to recalibrate them again like WONY, or something like that. u will find it's not enough if u is a players who have doing similar things

If you want to collect every gun and gear in the game thats up to you they never expanded it in D1 they won't do it in this game - I heard they couldn't understand why people are doing it its one of the reasons for the library. The truth is you won't use half the stuff in you storage. Isn't it called hoarding.Lol

Its not for me to say its your game and if you can talk them into it great.

Y'all realize that these are conflicting complaints, right?

I mean, for the forums to be lit up with "loot sucks -- there is nothing worth even picking up" AND also lit up with "we need more space because there are more than 300 items that have dropped which are keepers."

    LOL

I have one agent and I deconstruct/sell the crap loot and the 'Possibilty to be used' loot goes in my stash, if after 4-6 weeks I haven't used any of the stuff that's in my stash it gets gone.

I have one agent because I really don't feel like levelling up again, even with the level 30 boost.

I guess I could have a level 30 DC only agent and a level 40 WONY only agent.

I also read about people who get multiple exotics in a few hours time, and others who haven't seen one drop in months (not counting the new caches or season rewards). Some wonder "What loot problem?", while others have quit the game because all they get is garbage. Guess that's the nature of RNG.

Then there's the fact things get buffed and nerfed so much you never know what will be good or bad in the next patch, so you hold onto things in case your current build becomes trash and you have to start over. The safe bet seems to be wait a couple years before purchasing the game, that way it's sorted out and changes aren't being made anymore.

IDK, i think people are leaving this game because of the lack of content.

If this game had more things to do, would you really worry about loot?

I play this game less and less not because of the loot, but because it is getting very boring. You can only run the same missions and activities so many times before you get to the point that you dont want to do them anymore. Even if every piece of loot that dropped was god rolled, your still doing the same things over and over again.

Raids take to long to find enough people that want to play, and that if tou can find 6 other players. Then to spend a few hours in there for pretty much xp whats the point?

Pvp is crap. Always has been and always will be.

The devs idea of new content in this game is to nerf all your gear so you have to find the new meta. When enough players get that, that is then nerfed, hence repeating the cycle.

So I ask again, if there was more content in the game, would you still be complaining about the loot? I sure wouldnt. But then again i dont complain about it now.
