@RichardOshea - I am not sure if you played against some of these skills in PvP, but I did, and it was absolutley toxic. As the developers indicated on SOTG, this explosive damage was going through walls and cover indiscriminately. It was ruining PvP, and I welcome this change. Your post refers to "prejudice" which seems a bit overly dramatic. If something is breaking PvP, then the devs have every right to adjust it.
